Greetings & Toycon...

-yawn- it’s Father’s Day! I just want to greet the best dad in the whole world! My Fodsie Dodsie… well, okay, I did already, I even bought him his favorite Hopiang Ube hehehe.

I just finished editing the pics I got from Toycon (day 1). Oh yeah, how was it. Well if I’d be speaking of the event, it turned out pretty well. With 170 cosplayers, mostly are new faces to me, I’d say, the anime, rather, the cosplay community wouldn’t die soon hehe… well, I felt really envious…. How I wished I were part of the group back then. But I really have no one to blame but myself… well, my slump state that is… I’m not sure when is the next J-event, but I wish I could think of a character that would suit my appearance and personality (and taste) –sigh- and yeah, as I thought, it was really depressing to be on the bazaar, eyeing on some stuff, yet I got no cash to purchase them –sigh- hmmm, I just wish that nobody bought that Akira action figure that I wanted… well, what else, they got decent bands to perform. I can’t remember the names, but they were good, not the usual garage bands (sort of) I’ve heard during the past events…

A bishie cosplayer caught my attention, he’s name’s Diego… I have no idea whoever he was cosplaying, but I didn’t bother. He’s so damn cute, he looks like a younger version of Dr. C*** hmmm, I wonder if some of my friends know him. He’s really cute, I can’t stop taking pictures of him… now there goes my fangirl instincts hehehe… darn, I wanted to get his number and email address, but when I was following him already, I saw a girl beside him –sigh- erase that stalking plan. But when I get to see him again, I’ll ask for his contacts when he’s alone… surely hehehe… I realized, it’s time for me try something like this hehehe…

Also, I was glad to see friends that I haven’t seen (and heard) for a long time. Chris, well, what’s with the curly hair on the back, he looks more slut than ever haha… Neitaro, waah, really, it’s been ages since I’ve heard something from her. She’s much cuter than ever. And of course, those cosplayers that I’ve met from past events, but oh, I’m just so cruel to have forgotten their name when they remember mine! Kido ga hidoi!

And here’s another funny story. When I was watching the program, I took a seat in the front row. Suddenly I realized that the girl beside me kept smiling at me. Then she asked me, this is you right? She showed her mobile phone with my pic when I cosplayed Soujiro during the 1st UP-AME con. So I said “oh yeah, that’s me”. Then she showed another pic, this time I’m not cosplaying, just in my plain clothes. It was taken during the 2nd UP-AME event. Always in UP huh? Anyway, I felt guilty again that she remembered me, yet I never remember her. So this time, I took the initiative “hey let’s take a pic, so I won’t forget you hehehe”. And finally I asked for her name, well if it isn’t fate or something, her name’s Rachel hahaha! Now here’s the funny part, I asked her how old she is –I’ve been trying to identify the age range of my fandom hahaha-, and I was really surprised to hear that she was 21 already. Whoa! I thought you’re on you’re teens only, say 16-18… yeah I really thought. She just smiled. Then she asked me, “how about you?” – “oh, I’m 23” and then she and her little sister were even more shocked… they actually thought I was 12. Now that’s exaggerating. But it always happens… this is nothing new hehehe…

Going back to the event, we (my buddies) went off after the cosplay catwalk… we chat a little with friends… and headed to food court for a Pica-pica… yeah, by the way, I brought my co-staff, Neil with me. I’m glad to see that he had fun. And yeah, I was surprised when he took Mike and Paolo’s cell numbers, he’s such a loner in the office, so I’m glad to see that he’s making friends with my friends. And yeah, when we had our group pic, I realized that they’re all guys with me hahaha…well Jam was originally with us earlier, but she left a little early. Anyway, setting my personal frustrations aside, it’s worth coming… after all, this is TOY con we’re talking about.

It’s raining real hard, I just got enrolled. I only have 3 subjects – Computer 2, Arts Appreciation (again), and Nihonggo, YAY! Anyways, now that I’m not so busy, my mind is in chaos again… things will get complicated from now on… I have to expect for the worst to come… it’s something that I hate to imagine… What will I do? I’m just alone in this battle. No one can really help me now…. God… just what do you intend to do with this pathetic fool… mushrooming problem, one after another… I’m not that strong… all this time, I’ve been keeping up a strong front… a happy face… but it’s just because no one would understand… damn… I shouldn’t be getting emotional at times like this… I should remember that I have always got through different crisis before… this is no time to be thinking of giving up… but still, I don’t know… because anything that involves my family is just too much to take.

By the way, I slept at past 5AM today, reading yaoi mangas given by Sakuma, damn, it’s so overwhelming, but at the same time, blood-pumping hehehe… I also watched Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (all 14 eps) and read Death Note (I’m already chapter 61). And Monching’s wife Wilma got back from Japan. She gave me a G Gundam 1/144 Model kit as omiyage… and Cyrus was just so hyperactive last night bragging all the Gundam kits that his mom bought for him… but he’ll be back in Cavite when his classes start, (probably today) and I’m really gonna miss him… indeed it was a long night for night for me last night….

And yeah, today is a very special day… someone so dear just turned a year older… this pathetic fool has not run out of hope… that one miraculous day would come, that you’ll understand how I feel… it doesn’t matter if you consider me a bad part of your past… but you’ll always be special to me… no matter what… I will never blame you for all this pain… I will never resent you. My words may never reach you… but someday… someday… surely… anyways, HAPPY BIRTHDAY –muahhugs-

I’m home (Tanay) right now. I’ve met with my cousin this afternoon to handover something. I was surprised to see how tall Matt was. Well, I learned that he was circumcised this summer haha.

Yesterday, I went to Mall of Asia again, with Sherry (again) but this time I tagged along Mike. Hmmm, we played at Power Station (again), and we ate at Wendy’s. After eating, we reminisce about the old days. Our ‘crappy’ college days haha… and much of time we were laughing with our past. But it’s really amazing how we could laugh out loud like that just looking back. And I never really thought that she had been missing the old days too. Mike must’ve had an idea how fun my college life was with my buddies. Even when we got home (I stayed at Sherry’s place), we just kept on talking our crappy moments during college. I swear, a day would not be enough to tell all we’d been through. I guess we just wanted those times when depression was never a part of our vocabulary… when all we ever worry was how to obtain those anime stuffs we wanted, cramming with our studies, beating the deadline for requirements, and sometimes, dealing with nauseating people (be it professor, admin personnel or fellow students) hehe. It’s too bad that Sri wasn’t with us yesterday. Damn, that girl, always busy…

oh look at the date… two days to go and… hmmm… to greet or not to greet? -bloated-

Death Note

Ooh, notice the date -06/06/06- hmmm does it tell something like doomsday or anything like it? Talk about misfortune, I didn’t come to work today, I’m not feeling well, but I realized, it sucks more to get stuck in the boarding house, thank goodness there’s a phone. But this have to be real quick because if the owner finds out that I have this laptop, he’ll charge me for the electricity I’m consuming… Going back to doomsday, kinda related to my addiction right now. Well not exactly, but it has something to do with death and judgment hehe…

I’m currently hooked on “Death Note” a manga by Ohba Tsugumi and Obata Takeshi. Now, I haven’t had any information on the creators, except that I know that Obata Takeshi is the manga artist of “Hikaru no Go”. Anyway, just a background, I first came across this manga a couple of years ago, it was just a one shot pilot manga that I’ve read, but it was so interesting that I wished there were more. 2 years fast forward, lo & behold there is actually a series! A friend gave me the complete scanlations (12 tankoubons!). Also, sometime ago, I learned that it’d be adapted into anime, though I can’t remember if it’ll be a TV series, OVA or movie… whatever it is, it’s something for me to look forward.

Okay now let’s get on with my review. Death Note is a supernatural notebook used by shinigamis in taking the lives of humans. The mechanics is simple, they just write the name of the person and imagine his face (this way, people sharing the same name won’t get affected), then write the cause of death and its details in a specified span of time, and the details would take effect. If the cause is not written after 40 seconds, the person would immediately die of a heart failure. Enter Ryuku, a bored shinigami, who’s tired of seeing the monotonous activities of his fellow reapers. So what he did was, he purposely dropped his death note, if only to watch what a human might do with it. When a death note was accidentally picked up by a human, he gains the ability to see the shinigami who owns it, and that shinigami would follow him everywhere he go. The notebook can only be retrieved if that human dies or had the notebook fully filled. The human have the option to give it to someone else or return it to the shinigami who owns it if he doesn’t want to use the notebook. But in doing so, all of his memory of the death note and the shinigami will be erased. Lucky for Ryuku, his death note was accidentally picked by the genius –and gorgeous- Raito Yagami. Your ‘usual’ teenager who always got the highest scores on national exams. After reading the instructions, he first thought of it as a bluff. But his curiosity proved him wrong, when he tried using it and saw its effectivity, he came up with the idea of building a better world, by eliminating the criminals using the death note. When Ryuku and Raito met, Ryuku was surpised to learn that Raito had entered significant number of names (all criminals) in such a short period of time. This made Ryuku happy, and remarked how interesting humans think (of course!). The fun starts when an international intelligence agency took note of unusual deaths of most wanted criminals which took place on the same day, and of the same cause –heart failure. A mass murder, it must be. Enter L, the world’s greatest detective, whose real identity and image was kept in secret. But the FBI highly trusted him because he solved every case given to him and his deductions were always correct. He immediately identified that the deaths are not mere coincident, that a person is behind these deaths. He instantly determined that the culprit is in Japan, based on the first murders that occurred. This notion was supported when they made it appear the L is aware of this murder, by faking a TV announcement in Japan, and imposed a fake L. When Raito saw the fake L, by the name Lindt Taylor –whose also a detainee sentenced for death penalty- on TV, he immediately killed Lindt. L immediately identified the requirements for Raito to kill his target, which is by knowing its name and face. Raito (though unidentified) gained fans and followers with his actions and was called as “Kira” . The quest to find Kira started, FBI agents and L’s right hand man were deployed to Japan and collaborated with Japanese police to work on the case. Another interesting fact is that the leader of the Japanese investigation team was Raito’s father.

Okay I’ll stop from here, giving more information would spoil it. Now, for my personal views, to date, this is the best ‘detective story’ I’ve ever encountered. Combining paranormal situations with realistic and superb analysis of events, this is not your usual Sherlock Holmes, Conan Edogawa or Sano Ichiro stories. And the fact that there is no branded villain in this SHONEN manga, makes it outstand the other shonen manga I’ve read. It’s not a battle of good versus evil but an argument of proper delivery of justice. It’s not a mere pursuing of a culprit plot, but a battle of wits between the L and Kira. And what makes it more interesting is the developing love & hate relationship between the pursuer and the one being pursued. This is a topnotch manga. Every brain stimulating freaks would definitely enjoy it much more than Da Vinci Code –oh there goes this Japanese-biased kid hehehe- Plus Takeshi’s design of shinigamis is quite astounding to me, they’re not the stereotypical skeletons in cloak nor the bishie Tsuzuki and Hisoka f or the bashful Ichigo (is that right Bleach fans?). Everything in this manga was rather new and innovative to me.

Hmmm, if I’d have a deathnote, who would I write there? Maybe I’d be doing the same thing that Raito did. Those crooks who committed heinous crimes, those corrupt government officials starting with GMA, FVR, Cory and Erap hehehe… anyone who’d try to hurt my family… anyone who’d try to hurt –toooot- (and there goes my stubbornness!). Now back to more reading I’m already at chapter 37.

Ahoy, it’s another month and it has been very fruitful this past few days…

The other day we had a blood donation drive here at MDH. Hehe, our office had a 100% participation! It was the first time I ever donated blood, and it didn’t turned out right (quite)… well, donors undergo screening and physical examination… I passed the screening… and everything was ok… until I’m done with blood-letting. I stayed in the bed for 15 more minutes, then I went back to the office, then I went after my colleagues who’ll be donating blood too. Then I told Dr. Hogar that I’d take pictures while she’s “bleeding”. Then my dizziness started… I felt my vision deteriorating, and the noise seemed toning down… and there I go, I went after Fars and complained that I feel dizzy… she texted my boss to ask for assistance, but I couldn’t bear anymore, I swear I wanted to lie down because I knew that I might collapse at any minute, so I opted to go up. On our way to the office, my boss ran into us, and then we went straight to ‘other’ QM office. There, we have bed foams, which we used during surveillance (for our overnight duties). The moment I saw those beds, I couldn’t wait to lie down… haay, what a relief (back then)… then our Chief Medtech and one of the Head Nurse came to the rescue. Ma’am Sonia administered first aid measures, while sir Arvin took my blood pressure… it appeared that my BP fluctuated from 110/70 to 80/60 *sigh* I’m such a weakling…

And then yesterday I went on leave, I went to PAG-IBIG again, only to find out that my check isn’t prepared yet. One of their staff told me to come back today –again- damn, I just hate these government offices! Anyways, I was also about to apply for TIN ID, but I noticed that it was almost 12:00 NN when I got out of PAG-IBIG, I decided I’ll just defer the ID application, I’m sure those government employees would shun me, because it’s almost break time.. and I’d be instructed to return after lunch…. Really, government offices sucks! I just don’t understand, they have better compensation and benefits, yet they deliver poor service!

Anyways, the reason I defer the TIN ID was because I got a sudden notice of interview from Accenture. The venue was at Cybergate building along Pioneer, Mandaluyong. Of course I didn’t know how to get there so I dropped by at the office just to go online, and have some of my credentials photocopied. I asked my friends how to get there. I got the directions and headed to Cybergate. The interview lasted 1 hour –whew-. There were two interviewers, one was via speaker phone while the other one was right in front of me. It went alright, I swear I was much more confident than my interviews here in MDH. However, I don’t think I’d be considered for further screening. Considering I told them that I would prefer a flexitime schedule, to accommodate my studies of course. I am being eyed for the PMO group, I forgot what it meant, but it basically is in-charge of resource management for Accenture clients. But like I mentioned, I stressed my high priority on my studies, instead I told them was that I may consider deferring my study plans if the offer is RIGHT. Right? It’s too early to assume but I’m not keeping my hopes up. hmmm, maybe I should just grab those call center offers (damn, I ditched 2 call center interviews already!) just to accommodate my demand on schedule. And speaking of schedule, my 12 NN – 8 PM sched in the office is back! Anyways, whether I passed the interview or not, I don’t regret coming there, I felt that the interview was fruitful and was a very good learning experience.

Yesterday I went to PAG-IBIG Fund to apply for a loan. It’ll definitely get approved because I’m a first-time loaner and a good payer (of course). But my dilemma is that when claiming for the check, I have to present 2 valid ID to claim it. Damn, if it’s just ANY valid ID, I don’t have any problem. But they require that it must be any of the following: Company ID, SSS, BIR, Driver’s License, PRC License, Voter’s ID, or Passport ID. I don’t have any problem with the first one, but the succeeding types of ID, I don’t have any –sigh- now I was forced to contact a friend who got connections to SSS. Perhaps I could acquire an SSS ID in no time. Damn, it’s really hard. Now here’s my another problem, my enrollment at school is on June 8, classes will start on June 13 –shrugs- I was actually saving that PAG-IBIG Loan for my tuition fee. But since my cousin asked for my assistance, because my nephews haven’t got their schools supplies yet. Of course, I have to give way… their education is much more important than mine. So now, where do I get money for my schooling? Oh good heavens… the general dilemma of an average people trying to reach their dreams… I don’t want to ditch this semester, I plan to enroll Nihongo subject, I saw that it was slated for Monday this semester. Maybe I could also enroll computer 2. oh here’s another problem, if I’d be enrolling Computer 2, I would definitely need to install Adobe Photoshop on my laptop… and that means I need to upgrade my RAM… and that means I’d be needing cash again… oh man… well, I still have a lot of time, right now, I have to prioritize my dear nephews.

Okay, enough with financial problems… yesterday I watched Da Vinci’s Code for the second time at Greenbelt 3. since Sherry’s check-up was cancelled, she just offered me to watch movie, she was with a colleague. Damn, if I had known that it was Da Vinci’s Code’s ticket they bought, I could’ve declined. I don’t really find the controversial film that great. IMHO, the only thing that makes it controversial is the theoretical interpretations of Da Vinci’s artworks and the twists they implicate in the histo-biblical facts, and the symbology (damn, I’m not sure if I’m using appropriate terms hehe). I am not a devout Christian, but I do oblige myself to attend mass every Sunday (though I sometimes miss it). Even if I would read the book or watch the film a million times, I can confidently assure that my faith in God would not be affected. And no, I will never believe that Jesus impregnated Mary Magdalene nor He has a living descendant this age. That He died in the cross, resurrected and ascended to heaven… and that’s final. Damn, if I’m so gullible in such ideas (Da Vinci’s Code), I have lost my Christian beliefs years ago, since I’ve watched and read Angel Sanctuary, X, and other anime with biblical parodies. Just like the titles I’ve mentioned, I treat da Vinci’s Code as a mere FICTION… a good fiction that is…
okay enough with reviews... what I really wanted to say is that, after the movie, we played at Timezone HOD 2 & 4 (of course) and I got really tired that I had a headache… and I really want to take a long VL… can’t wait for June 13, the start of my VL, start of classes.. and…

oh yeah, what's with the pic? nothing... i just thought my readers might have missed me hahaha! and yeah, i just wanted to show that my hair cut sucks... damn!

Aww, finally our surveillance audit is through. The auditors are currently convening a closing meeting with the unit heads at the 12th floor, I’m supposed to be there but somebody influential reprimanded me for not wearing uniform. She’s currently in the meeting too, I’m just avoiding another reprimand from someone who doesn’t even have the right to… I honestly intended to wear one if I wasn’t so busy this morning. FYI, Dr. *toot*! I’ve been here in the office since 8 AM yesterday! No sleep! Just to prepare the documents that the auditor might look for! Damn, some people are just so narrow minded… besides, she’s not in the position to reprimand me! Oh people… anyways, the audit went on fine… I honestly would not want to talk about work right now… I just want to rest… I’ve been deprived of it lately… anyways, I got a new book, (second hand of course hehe). It’s “The Last Samurai”… it’s completely different from the movie okay… it’s a story about a mother and boy… about finding his father… I’m glad that I have something to read and make me sleepy at night hehe… my PC only makes me more alive, and therefore eating my sleeping time hehe… for now, I’m just relieved that I can get MORE sleep! Yay!

Ahhh, it’s my 5th cup of coffee, I’m still at the office, loaded with paper works (mountains of papers hehehe)… and it’s gonna be like this for the next 6 calendar days –sigh- anyways, I have the June 13 to look forward to, the start of my long VL hehehe… this afternoon I was unexpectedly called by my former boss, and he was asking me a favor, he wants me to work on the unmarked newspapers in his office, which was taller than Mt. Apo –sigh-… I’m starting to hate all kinds of papers hehehe… aww, how exaggerating, well he still is my boss in principle (indirectly), besides he’s giving me the choice at my own convenience. And I have to admit that I owe him for everything I’ve learned when I was still in his office. And let me clear again that I don’t hate papers, my greatest inspirations originated from papers (manga characters) ehehe… anyways, wish me luck for our surveillance audit –crossing fingers-

aww man, i need a hair cut...

waah! it's Mother's Day! Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms in the world... To the mothers of my friends, for bringing into this world those kids who're fated to rock my world hehehe... To the mothers of my idols (CLAMP, Hayao Miyazaki, L`Arc~en~ciel, Yoshihiro Togashi, etc.) for bringing those geniuses, fated to spice up my life hehehe... to the mom of ****** for bringing into this world, the child who made me SMILE (again) hehe (then cry again -sigh-)... and of course... the BEST mom in the world, my ever dearest MOMONJI hehehe... I love you mom (",x)

hmmm, Toy Con is fast approaching, and I'm dying to join the Cosplay, but I'm not inspired by any character for the moment... ahhh... minna-san, help me think...

Today is also the birthday of my most generous auntie -Ate Mameng.... Happy Birthday! She asked us (my family) to come over at her home for a little celebration, but it's as if I'm cursed with idleness today... I'm not in the mood to go out, I even ditched the mass... i'm such a ba d kid... and here i am, waiting for food from the birthday celebration. Awww, i'm starving... Mom, hurry up! (",x)

Saturday, May 13, 2006

Hah, a friend alerted me for not updating my blog. Truth is, I do update my journal, I was just feeling idle to upload it. Well for the sake of my regular readers, here’s what happened for the last few days… Anyways, I’ve been very busy (like what’s new with that?)….

I’ve finally got Momonja a filter/ protector. Yay! Damn it cost me 200 bucks! I’m just irritated with the fact that its adhesion means doesn’t work efficiently! Damn, I ended up using a masking tape! Pathetic! I want a refund!!!

I checked Power Station at Rockwell yesterday, And I’m happy to report that I found it really great, just as much as find Timezone G4 and Greenbelt 3 great. Oh how I’d love to hang out with my friends there. Besides from the fact that it has House of the Dead 3 & 4, they also got KTV rooms, and what’s more, their KTV systems have Japanese (and Korean and Chinese Songs). And they have Dive to Blue, Ready Steady Go! Hmmm, more updated than Music 21 huh. Though I’m not satisfied with the sounds system. Well anyways, another good thing is that they have good selection of prizes, much better than Timezone’s. which motivates me to play “ticketed” games. And they have a very good basketball games, they’re different from any basketball games I’ve seen in all the arcade centers that I’ve been. They have this “modernized” look. Plus, Power Station have this reward system every time you reload. Cool huh… and considering I purchased the VIP card (a year ago), that gives me 200 worth of load on my birthday! Yeah! Now as far as I know, there are only 3 Power Station here, Shangri-La, The Podium, and Rockwell (Power Plant Mall). Hmmm, noticed something? All located at high-end malls huh? Well, whatever, I’m determined to earn tickets, I’ve already eyed an action figure worth 500 tickets!!! I will definitely be going back here hehehe…

Last Tuesday was Russell’s flight off to Korea. Damn, I can’t help feeling sad. I’d definitely miss the guy. He’s always been very generous to me and he’s one of the few guys I know that I could have a sensible conversation. Also, I’m being emphatic on Sherry, I just know, she’ll miss her brother the most. And, it’s not gonna be the same visiting the Nery’s home without him… oh well, time flies pretty fast… for all we know, before I’d knew it, he’s back…. 3 years is too short… ne?

Last Monday, I went to Feata, and what a very gloomy state they have there! They had their electrical connection cut! The Saleslady said that the owner (they are talking about the new wife or partner of the Japanese guy) didn’t pay the bills. And it’s been like that for 2 months! Good heavens, it’s the worst! I can’t bear the fact that those manga and anime stuffs are living in darkness. Okay, I’m exaggerating, my stuffs are also in darkness (cabinet) hehehe… but I do take them out of the light (and caress them hahah)at least every weekend. I wonder what were the reactions of the other customers (who’re definitely rabid otaku). Anyway, I went there just to claim my remaining 340 worth of gift for reaching the goal box. I got myself Aneglic Layer volume 2 and Tenkuu No Escaflowne vol. 6. Now speaking of Esca, I have to check which came first, the anime or the manga, because they have different character design… though most anime (90% that is) originated from it’s printed counterpart, there’d be cases that the anime would precede the manga version, just like Evangelion. Going back to Feata, is there anything we, (otaku-tachi) can do? I wish they won’t be closing down yet… oh pls. at least not until I complete my RK manga… I still have 5 tankoubons left to obtain… damn!!!

Also, I finished House of the Dead 4, with Mike, last week at Time Zone Megamall. All HOD are so addicting hehehe… I wish I could finish the very first HOD too, and I guess that’d make me a faithful follower of HOD hehehe. So far, only Timezone at Greenbelt 3 has the HOD 1.

My recent addictions, I’m currently hooked to YUI’s music… her soft and childlike voice reminds me of Sakura Kinimoto. Kawaii!!! But her music can be both jumpy and relaxing. Typical Jpop… but I haven’t seen a female J-pop singer playing guitar… cool! Also, lately I’m into Incubus’s music, and I’ve been pestering Manong Pirate to get me an Incubus MP3. I want all their albums I said! But he’d always tell me that there’s always a raid in Quiapo so he can’t get me one. Geez, alibis! But above all, Narda still tops “Kid’s” chart hehehe… still a constant song number in my playlist hehe… in fact it’s playing in my WMPlayer right now –nag-aabang sa langit, sa mga ulap sumisilip, sa likod ng mga tala… kahit sulyap lang…-

Hmmm, what else, I’ve finished reading The Balck Lotus. Now I’m currently reading The Perfumed Sleeve… I just love it. I learn a lot of yaoi customs during the Tokugawa Era hahaha… scenes from Gohatto suddenly flashed my mind hehehe…

Lastly, we had our calendar planning yesterday. Actually, just a VL planning, my boss asked us to schedule our VL and make sure that no one would lapse the other. Knowing the busiest month for me would be June, I scheduled my VL from June 13-June 23. why, of course, Toy Con, Manila International Book Fair, The Condor’s Quest play, would be held between those dates… and besides, 2 of the most important figures in my life would be celebrating their birthdays in two of those dates… my self-proclaimed holidays hehehe…

And it’s a rainy day today… -sigh- I got no umbrella…

wahaha, i can't believe that i actually had time to delete "unimportant" messages in my inbox... they have stayed long enough and they're probably the reason why i can't compose, forward and reply! Awww, my compose page is always on error-display! Even with another PC so i don't think the problem is in my PC...

good news, early this morning, i received a text message from Aish, she just informed me that Chris won the Best J-rock Cosplayer award! Way to go! He's really something when it comes to dressing up. I'm proud of my friend. Too bad i wasn't there to witness it... if i wasn't exhausted from our IQA outing, i may have considered coming... oh well, i'm sure there are more awards for him coming hehehe, hopefully i could be there... damn, i'm missing a lot.

Haay, my limbs are aching… and it’s so damn hot! I am not feeling well. I mean, I have cold, cough, skin allergy (triggered), aching limbs, insufficient sleep, and thanks to the heat, I swear my temper is up by 100%! I’m warning you when I’m like this, do not touch or talk to me, or I’ll just yell at you with a very sarcastic tone hehe… my siblings we’re already affected with my current mood… but updating my journal like this cools me a little… anyways, I came from Pansol Laguna, it’s the IQA Outing, we were less than 20 ( I think) –Dr. RJ, Dr. Hogar, Ma’am She, Fars, Aris, Neil, Robin, Cherry, Vani, Mariel, Sheann, Sir Nestor, Sir Celso, Sir Bong, and the van driver. We used Dr. Hogar’s friend private pool. They got three, but we only used one. It’s an overnight swimming, but only 6 of us (all girls) stayed all night long haha. It was fun actually, lots of food, “drinks”, karaoke and of course swim swim swim… I don’t know how to swim but sir Nestor taught me how to float while breathing… and I’m grateful I learned something hehe… but it’s also the reason why my limbs are aching.. geez…

Bad news… well not really, it’s actually good. A friend of mine was accepted at Yokohama Tires Corp. it’s a multinational Japanese company based at Pampanga. Aside from the fact that it’s near her home, I heard that the benefits are much better (of course, it’s multinational). Plus, she’ll be working with a Nihonjin! Cool! But it’s just that I’m gonna miss her… What’s more, Jona is taking her maternity leave starting today. And that leaves me alone in the room we’re renting, huhuhu… well sure the room’s all mine now and I’d have bigger bed space…better sleep.. but that also entails additional cost for me! I mean I’ll be taking the room charge all by myself. I need a roommate!
But anyways, I’ve submitted my resume to Ma’am Minda, Jona told me she was laughing when she received it. I was always being teased because of my underage looks, and I may not look convincing if I’d be a college instructor hahaha! Oh well, the cons of looking young…
what else, tomorrow is the IQA outing, which I’m not so excited. We’re going to Pansol Laguna, thanks to Dr. Hogar’s connections we were able to get a place for free. We’re shouldering the food expenses only. What’s frustrating is that majority of auditors will not be able to come because their own departments will be holding their outing on the same day –sigh- now is there something to be excited? Well, I’m not feeling so well, but I’m definitely coming. Also, tomorrow I’ll be the assigned trainee for the Document Awareness of Business Development Division, I’ll discuss All the controlled procedures of BDD the whole day *sigh* how toxic. And I have to accompany my mom for check up and stress test at 10:00 AM…. Geez, too many things to do tomorrow… and I have to do them simultaneously! Oh please, I thought I asked for a break? –sneeze-sniff- see got a cold already?! haay, i really need a rest... i'd probably just spend my time (during the outing) reading "Black Lotus" hehehe...

Haay, I’m(mentally) exhausted from all the activities today. This morning was the regular Document Awareness Seminar. I can’t focus well on the discussion because I was concurrently finishing the minutes of our last meeting (last week), my boss needed it by the end of the morning. I remember my former boss Sir Ritchie… he used to tell me to do tasks simultaneously as possible, meetings or seminars you attend is not an excuse… it’s kinda stressing but also challenging at the same time. And Ma’am Merie commended me, she said I’m doing well and she thinks I can handle facilitating the training even without the supervision of Ma’am Len… hehehe, I hope she’s right… Anyways, the meeting this afternoon was actually the Task Force QMS Planning for the ISO Surveillance Audit… Damn, we’re bombarded with assignments again… I’m assigned at the Procedures Revision team together with Joel, She Ann, Vans, Ma’am Marits and Ma’am Len… haay… it’s gonna be a very busy month… and what about my vacation leave wish =’(…

Nagi finally gave me copy of the pictures taken by her cell TWO MONTHS ago –geez- hehehe… she just hand it over to the office, I suppose I wasn’t around when she came. Yay, more pics! But she still owes me pics from AEx and Animax! Hey Nagi?! Hehehe… I just want to share this pic taken at Starbucks during my birthday… because I’m a Starbucks freak hahaha! (“,x)

Belated Happy Easter! I’m thankful to God for the break I had. It’s been a good one really, although a piece of me is definitely missing, but staying home for a longer period, made me think of all the people around me, who cares about me and they give me hope that everything’s gonna be alright. First thing I’m thankful is that Mathet and I talked yesterday over the phone, she was inquiring about issuance of employment certificate at MDH… we talked about our sighs in the Hospital… what I really want to say is that it’s been so long since we had a talk like that. I miss hanging out with her, despite our big differences we get along well. And it might still be too early to hope that we’d be just like before, but I’m keeping my hopes up… second, I’ve taken the first step in teaching my dad to use PC. I taught him how to start and shut down Windows… and the first program I taught him is MS Word (of course). He doesn’t have to be an expert, just the basic operations would do. And I’d really feel some sort of fulfillment if I can get him to get used to Windows. And then I went out with Mike, well I promised him that I’d treat him to Starbucks. He gave me a 3/1 scale (hehehe) plushie of Mokona (of TRC and not MKR!)… It’s really cute! Mokona looks like an egg, so Mike was actually giving me an Easter egg hahaha. Then we played at Timezone at Greenbelt 3 and G4. Finally I’ve played the House of the Dead 4! It’s sooooo freaking cool. Too bad we didn’t beat the game… we went out of load, but we were really close to the final chapter hehehe… we also played House of the Dead 1 and 2, hehehe…. HOD is soooo addicting! And after such a long time, I got to play that boxing game (damn I forgot the title of the game)… that boxing simulation game is sooo fun plus it’s a calorie burning game hehehe…. We played basketball, bowling and car racing… Whew, really it’s been so long since I spent so much time in an arcade center, and it feels so good. I just want to point out that it feels so great to be young hehehe… haay so much for the fun… it’s back to -reality check- work…. I want to go on vacation leave!!!

Friday, April 14, 2006

It’s a Maundy Thursday… the start of a long rest for me, I’ll be back at work on April 18 na! but I have a meeting to attend on Monday and also I have to go to school to claim my class cards…. But I have 4 days to savor, yay! Anyways, my agenda for the loooooong weekend is to look for jobs (via net), watch anime vids, savor my collections –my toys hehehe-, sleep-sleep-sleep! What’s this National Cosplay Competition that I’ve read… organized by Otakuzine, Hero TV and Kenkyu Kai. Hmmm, a NATIONAL cosplay competition? I don’t like it…. I mean I don’t like the idea of cosplay and other J-culture stuffs going mainstream… oh well, I wish to join… if only I have the time, money and inspiration *sigh*

well more importantly, it's Holy Week... I must work on enhancing my spiritual life... meditate... reflect... ask for penance...

Nicknames, IDs, Cloud... My rabidness…

I had my hair trimmed yesterday! I love it, just a trim but it feels lighter… I asked the stylist to retain the length and reduce the thickness. But I had my bangs and right sideburns shorten. Why only left? Because I’ve had enough with symmetry hehehe… anyway very few noticed the hair trim…

Then finally got my ID! Yay, after almost a year! And as I’m expecting, the front portion boasts my nickname Kid! My otaku name is in my valid ID! Sugoi! And it’s even better because the pertinent info are much accurate than the one I lost, I also had my TIN written in it now hahaha. Geez, what a simpleton, rejoicing over an ID hehehe. But anyway, ever wondered of the etymology of my otaku name… Kid? I just love it, very suitable for someone looking young and androgynous hehehe. I wonder how many would think of it as a guy or gal’s name. Honestly it sounds like a guy’s name to me. Ever heard of Jason Kidd (NBA)? Well it was used as surname. What about Kid Rock? Uhm yeah, it’s a screen name. But I didn’t get it from them okay, I’m just citing them as examples. Well just a brief background, more than 6 years ago, when I was still a rabid anime fan, I used different anime nicknames in the anime online community. It depends on my current addiction. I’ve used Momonja (from Mojacko), Nanashi (Trowa Barton’s name when he lost his memory)… uhm, I can’t remember the others already. I guess it’s a youngster or otaku’s nature to use other names. I used the name Kid during the brink of my addiction to Chrono Cross. Kid is the female lead character of Chrono Cross. I just love Kid’s character, reminds me of myself. And I also found it cool that such a pretty girl is using the name Kid, well, she’s boyish yeah, but it was obvious that she has some special interest towards Serge hehehe… back to Kid, it was summer vacation of my 2nd year, I’m turning 3rd year when I got hooked to Chrono Cross and eventually started using Kid as nick. In fact, I also use a surname for it, Himura of course. See it’s Kid Himura (weird combi huh). Like I said, I also used other nickname to other communities. But as time passed by, I realized the need for consistency. I have to use only one. Well, I was right when I chose Kid. It’s very convenient (because it’s one-syllable) to pronounce don’t you think. Besides, I love the letter ‘K’. I realized back then that most my favorite characters in various anime starts with ‘K’ Kenshin, Ken, Kennichi, Kyo, Kiba, Kira, Koenma, Kokubunji, Kaworu, Kamui, Killua… Killua… so now you know… well I believe some of my regular readers know this already…

Also, I finally took pics of Cloud! Aww, my very pecious toy… Okay, I can’t wait anymore, here it is! The super cool Cloud Strife with his drop dead gorgeous Fenrir! Looking at these pics makes me want to be an action figure too hahaha…. If only to get to that gorgeous Fenrir with the super cool and handsome Cloud-sama –faints-

Monday, April 10, 2006

Today is the 1st death anniversary of my grandmother… hmmm, that means it’s been a year since I last cried… hmmm, it’s been a year since she left… I know she’s happy now with my grandfather… anyway, occasions like this has now been a venue for reunion of Alvarez clan hehehe, I’m glad to see my cousins. It’s also Palm Sunday, but I’m so bad, out of laziness I didn’t hear the mass… really, I have to work out my spiritual life more than anything…

A very good news! I finally got a Cloud Strive figure! Yeah, with the super cool Fenrir (bike)! Yes it’s really cool, and I’m so freaking excited to take pics of it. Cloud has 18 points of articulation! Cool! Mike gave it to me… he’s really generous to me, though I felt guilty that I treated him meanly … I mean I was very hot tempered yesterday… but I really thank him for his kindness. Whew, that was a major item wishlist crossed-out! I'll post some pics soon! Speaking of which, Oliver and I had fight last night, and it's all because of Cloud, i got really irritated with him because he wasn't careful in handling Cloud's sword, hmp! But we're okay now, i reminded him that i'm super sensitive when it comes to my anime collection...really hehehe...

Yesterday, Fars asked me to accompany her at G4 Park. Bamboo had a concert. Well, I had nothing to do, and Friday night is always the best time to hangout late (despite the fact that I have a regular duty every Sat!). It’s been a while since I went out at a Friday night and I really miss it. Besides I wanted to check something at G4. So there, I watched another Bamboo gig, but I’m still not converted huh. Let me remind that I’m doing this for a friend. According to the ads, show starts at 7pm, but since we had experience waiting considerably longer at Winston Wings Tour, we learned our lesson. This time we didn’t hurry, we came past 7:00 PM. Well, we were right, the show haven’t started, but it was really crowded, and it was impossible for us to get in the front. Part of me is delighted, because I’ve promised I’ll never situate in a front seat/row (whatever), unless it’s a L`arc~en~ciel concert (speaking of Larc, I have some exciting tidbits later). But part of me feels sorry for Fars. She went all the trouble of preparing her camera hahaha.. Anyway, being a hard-headed kid that I am, I went forward despite the crowd and encouraged Fars to follow. There were benches which I though we could stand on, at least we could see Bamboo, but heck, standing on the bench was strictly prohibited, we were reprimanded (in a nice way) by the guard hehehe… oh well, at least we got a good position. Now about Bamboo, like I said, I’m still not converted. His songs are fine, but I don’t find them interesting. I love it though, whenever he’d sing songs of Rivermaya… last night he sang 3 Rivermaya songs (Kisapmata, Hinahanap Kita, and Ulan).
Anyway, after the show, I requested to drop by at Timezone G4, what I really wanted to check, were the latest games. And heck, I finally saw what Sherry was excitingly saying –House of the Dead 4! Damn, its graphics is way better than its preceding installments! And this time, the characters use machine guns! And with its very huge screen, this arcade game is sooooo cool! I wanted to try it so badly, but I’m broke, a game costs P25 already (for VIP card holders). And besides, the game was occupied. But Fars loaded my Power Card, and we played House of the Dead 2. Although I’ve finished this game twice (The 1st time, I was alone, I used I think 25-30 tokens. The 2nd, I had a partner, but we’re not acquainted, I used 5 tokens), I still find it exciting to play it every now and then. By the way, I’ve also finished House of the Dead 3 (a couple of weeks ago) this time Sherry was my partner and we used 11 tokens. Gosh, I can’t wait to lay my hands on that machine gun!

Whew, I’ll be on undertime today because I have to meet my cousin. Also, my sister is here right now, she had a chest x-ray then afterwards she’ll be off to the review center. Finally she decided to take the board exam. I pray that she’ll make it this time. I believe in her… funny, I am the most skillful amongst my siblings when it comes to academic exams, but I’m the only one with the course with no Board exam, even with the course I’m taking now, still no board exam hehehe….

Now going back to L`arc~en~ciel, last week I saw the PV of ‘Link’ at Animax. Damn, I’m sooo happy I finally got an update on them, I mean at least I know their latest looks. It seems they really drifted from their ‘dressy’ era. I’m so surprised to see Hyde in baggy pants. Not that baggy okay –hyde fans pls. don’t kill me- it’s just that I got used on him wearing either gothic skirt or fitted pants. And what’s with the funky hair huh? But I loved it so well. They look more westernized now (get-up) which I don’t really mind, Hyde is a real bishie no matter what. In fact, it seemed that he looked younger hehehe. Hmmm, ‘Link’ is the opening theme of FMA movie, I wonder if they did a PV of ‘Lost Heaven’…. Damn, I want to see that!

geez... i need a haircut...

Narcissistic mode on!!! Oh well, it's been a while since i uploaded pics! These are very fresh hehehe... and to date, i have 1588 pics in my Flash drive! Alright!
My boss requested me to drop by at the office because they’ll buy a pizza… so I borrowed Sherry’s Palm card… and good news, my missing earring was actually in her house, it seems I dropped it from my pouch when I went there a couple of weeks ago. Whew, thank goodness, I didn’t know how to explain to my mom… Anyways, today is a special day for me… I realized yesterday, when I was browsing old pictures, that significant events happen on the 3rd of April, well, at least for the past 3 years… Just to share:

April 3, 2003 – was the last time that Sherry, Sri and I watched anime together, it was a 2-day anime marathon actually, at Sri’s place… we watched Spiral, Chobits, Marmalade Boy, Pretear, Steel Angel Kurumi and Kare-kano…I felt mixed joy and sadness… joy because, well need I say more? We were watching anime and we had so many foods… chips and ice cream >.<
April 3, 2004 – Animax Carnival! The first anicon organized by Animax. And it was the very first time I saw Atom or Astroboy live! I was really happy of course. I was even able to shook hands with him TWICE!!! I had a picture with him too… and I also saw Koji Sawaii, the anime director of ‘//hack.legend of the twilight’…

April 3, 2005 – K** D****D K** hehehe, am I rising my reader’s curiosity? But this is the saddest of all… well, I’ve already talked about this a year ago (in my OFF-LINE journal)… it's been a year, but the pain is still here… *sigh*
And of course it's Nagi's birthday. Happy B-day Midii-kun!!! ===> okay, this is a repost, i did write it here, but i don't know why it was deleted... Hmmm weird... Nagi, i really wrote this part, as is... nways... I'm glad to know nababasa mo pala blog ko haha..

So far, nothing significant happens yet… if there is, I hope it’d be good… Right now I’m starving… can’t wait for that mozzarella stuffed pizza >.<

Sunday, April 02, 2006

It’s April’s Fools Day! Hmmm, so can I expect someone to trick me today? I’m home alright (Tanay). Waiii, missed my folks and of course my collection hehehe… I was surprised when I saw puppies… too many puppies hehehe… Majinboo and Hartie just gave birth… Hartie was 2 weeks ahead of Majinboo, damn those bitches hahaha! So who wants puppies? They’re ordinary dogs (native) though… but Hartie is half Chihuahua (is my spelling correct?)… my latest pictures count in my flash drive is 1546! Yeah! Hohum… gotta sleep now…hahaha., the moment i'm posting this, Oliver beside me is sleep talking, my silly brother hehe... oh, it's Sakura Kinimoto's birthday, my favorite heroine!

I just want to share, it’s been a year since I had my ear pierced… I remember it so clearly… it was Easter Sunday…okay I don’t want to get sentimental now so I won’t go into details anymore…

I just finished the anime Beck… hmmm, not bad but nothing remarkable either… I liked the opening song… maybe if I’m someone who’s an AVID fan of rock bands…

Speaking of bands… I didn’t come home again this weekend… I’m cost cutting… being based in the province is quite expensive if you’re working in Metro Manila… I’m talking of transpo expenses. Anyways, last Saturday Fars invited me to go the Winston Wings Tour 2006 in Malate. They featured Bamboo, Parokya ni Edgar and Sugarfree. Its free… so I thought… why not… it’s not everyday that you’d see a free live performance of the country’s top bands. I am not a fan of local bands, as I have mentioned long before (I think) I only liked E-heads. But I do like some local band songs (random). Besides, I’ve always wanted to see a live performance of Parokya ni Edgar. I’ve always heard that they are really makulet. Well, I could tell just listening to their songs. So how was the concert? Well, one thing I’ve learned, if it says in the marketing collaterals and news plugging that the program would start at 7:00, it would actually start at 9:00 so don’t bother to come on time or earlier. Darn, Fars, Mike and I waited for more than 2 hours! Neil was lucky enough that he came around 9pm, he was still able to get some sleep. I just hope it’s not the case with major concerts, especially that of foreign performers. About the performers, I couldn’t say much about Sugarfree, I was actually bored with them… I think out of the 3, they were the band that sang the most numbers, or am I just that bored. I did like one of their song, I just don’t know the title, it says something –magpapaalam na ako sa aking kwarto…- then came Parokya ni Edgar, hahaha, I really had fun seeing them… they were really makulet. What’s really wonderful about them is that they keep on promoting fellow rock bands –kamikazee, sugarfree, bamboo, hale- etc. Chito (vocals) was even wearing a “maharot” shirt of kamikaze… I liked it! But I’m not a fan of their music, I only loved “halaga”. Their songs are good to hear for stimulation, I swear I’d always laugh hearing their songs… but nothing beyond that, it’s not something I’d want to hear for any season or mood. But I was so excited when they sang “Narda” (by Kamikazee), though they didn’t finish it, tsk, tsk… I’m really hooked to that song hehehe… Bamboo… uhmm, well their music is powerful, they have this distinctive style in music… but I couldn’t really appreciate it. But seeing Bamboo rock like that makes me want to jump and head bang… rock on yeah! Well I did like some of his songs during Rivermaya era (Awit ng Kabataan & 214). And Bamboo is really an eye candy, no wonder Fars is soooo addicted hehehe… Well, another thing I realized is that I’ll never situate near the speaker, or the front row. I love loud rock music, but I do not want to impair my hearing. Really, after the gig, my ears felt numb. I swear, I’m reserving to hear music THAT loud for L`Arc~en~ciel… hmmm, I wish when I get to Japan, they’re still active…

It’s Narda on my music player right now…

Anyways, yesterday, it was a good thing I browsed my planner. I have forgotten that Eiga Sai was showing in CCP stated last Saturday. Too bad I missed it… oh well, I got to see a concert… and I was able to watch 2 movies yesterday anyway. Yay! back to J-culture! I stayed at Starbucks Vito Cruz while waiting, I know, I’m supposed to cut my expenses, but I’d die of heat stroke if I stayed at the boarding house for more than an hour. And I actually have 2 e-fans on huh, it doesn’t make any difference. Besides, my destination is CCP, it’ll be good, I’d be able to walk –exercise-…

The first film was entitled ‘A Summer Page’. It’s a story about 3 boys who set out on a mountain climbing one summer day to fulfill a promise with their sensei who died a year ago. Japanese kids are the cutest I swear hehehe… I just love the sight of young boys in super-short shorts -nosebleeds- hehehe… basically the story tackles puberty, friendship and courage… nothing new actually but I just have this soft spot on childhood friendships. I have a lot of things missed during childhood, and having friends is just one of it. I do have playmates –neighbors- but friends are different… being a loner that I am, I never really experienced hanging out with friends when I was a kid. Letters, I think is very common that time. I remember reading Sherry’s friend letters during her gradeschool and highschool days… and I really can’t help feeling envious, because I never had those kinds of letters… I laughed at every message her friends and classmates told to her… they are nothing but silliness and innocence in deed… but they are memories… and I know that I was once as silly and innocent as them. Don’t get me wrong, I had a happy childhood I swear, but it’s just that I had no social life… well I did have letters during highschool, but they came from my siblings and relatives hehehe…While waiting for the next I roamed around CCP. I just love that place. A very suitable place for drifting from reality, just seeing the artworks on display in the halls makes me feel proud of Filipinos’ talent… There wss an ongoing ballet performance at one of the theaters… I saw some child ballet dancers… cute… but I didn’t watch, there was an entrance fee so…

The next film was “Young Girls in Love”, this time girls huh. The title says it all though, a story of 4 girls in love. I want to talk more about it but I don’t have the time now, I’m on a hurry right now…

Oh well, gotta go.

-awit na nanawagan, baka sakali napakikinggan, pag-ibig na palaisipan, sa kanta na lang idadaan. Nag-aabang sa langit, sa mga ulap sumisilip, sa likod ng mga tala, kahit sulyap lang Darna-

MARCH 19 is Kid's Stripes Day

Okay, it's March 20 already... but yesterday, after transferring some newly taken pics from Sherry's mobile phone into my computer, i browsed all my solo pics -narcissistic mode- i saw a pic of mine taken on the same day last year... and what a coincident, i was wearing a stipe-designed shirt too! And with that, i declare that every March 19, i should wear stripes! Yeah!

But, I just want to share, that the first pic was taken last year and is a rare find... why, i wonder if anyone would notice that for real, i was smiling... for some reason, i was really happy at that time... March 19, 2005... the second one.. well never mind... i'm a bit happy na rin

Saturday, March 18, 2006

Don’t bother to ask where I am… it’s a straight week in Starbucks huh?! Well, I’d have to blame myself if my debts got me huh… whew, what a day it has been… hmm, to back track, going back this morning…

I got up early, my duty for today’s off-set, well that is to say, doesn’t matter if what time I’ll go in and out as long as I completed the mandatory 8 hours. The reason is that I have to attend the Fire Safety Seminar and Document Awareness Training. Thing is, both are slated on the same time, so I wasn’t able to attend the former… have no choice, as much as I want to attend, the Systems Training is my priority. Hmmm, at any time, Ma’am Len may take her maternity leave, and when that happens, I’ll take over her place as lead trainer, and I must be technically prepared… the lecturer for today is She-Ann, an Onco-Pharmacist, and also the assigned Lead Auditor for this semester. She discussed the Chemotherapy Services Procedure. I’m starting to like the systems training… it makes me more aware of the hospital operations, and at the same time it makes me more aware that there are actually discrepancies among doctors and paramedical staff…

I find this interesting… there are some doctors who prepares or ask nurses to prepare cytotoxic drugs without the use of the ‘safety cabinet’. Ma’am Len herself admitted that she herself conducts the chemo drugs preparation for 5 years without the use of ‘safety cabinet’ or any protective suit! But She-ann, as a pharmacist, is strongly against that practice. And some doctors too would say, why procure something so expensive when it’s feasible to do the chemo drugs under regular circumstances/environment. Well, ma’am Len told me, that the effect is 15 years after, so she may just wait if the so called adverse effect were true. There were no studies to support it anyway.

Okay enough about cytotoxic drugs, during the lecture, I’m amazed at Ma’am Len, she’s really something, there was this issue that She-ann and Dr. Joson were arguing about that I couldn’t follow… but when ma’am Len butt-in, I understood clearly what they were talking of all along. I was also inspired of Ma’am Len’s initiative to take actions (plans) for various issues being raised at every systems training session. As a result, Dr. Joson came up with a Task Force to take in charge of ironing-out of the raised issues. Haay, I was assigned to be a part of the task force and that’d mean additional work load… plus, it’ll hinder on my plans to leave the Hospital *sigh* but I am really honored to have gained the trust of Ma’am Len and Dr. Joson. Here they go again with so much expectation from me huh.

Then lunch, the agenda for the afternoon, closing audit! Ma’am She, Fars and I audited Laboratory, NICU, NSO, BDD and HR Training. It’s kinda frustrating, that for so many NCs committed for the past few months after the ISO certification, only 2 were closed *sigh*… man, our systems has a looooooong way to go…. But it’s nice to see the flaws of a unit’s systems, there are always rooms for improvements. Man, i had an headache after the audit... just listening to each unit's problem -hohum-

After the audit, Fars and I went to Robinson’s Place to watch the Pupil Mall Tour. I’m not really a fervent fan of local bands, but I really loved the music of E-heads… and I like Ely’s voice, I got curious how he was doing without his former band mates… his music is still powerful (at least for me)… I liked some of the band’s songs already, I just don’t know the titles, but I remember one –Nasan ka- and I loved it…hmmm, it’s really rare for me to like non-Japanese songs hehehe… what’s more, I got to get the band’s autograph and pics… I find the bassist -Dok- cute hehehe…got a pic with him! The lead guitarist –Yani- even gave me the pen he’s using, well that’s because I was the last one to ask for autograph… I let them sign in my Starbucks planner hahaha… but my frustration is, wasn't able to take a pic with Ely, he's the reason why i watched the band damn! when i was about to take a pic with him, the cam prompted that the memory card is full! Damn, i only got a pic with Dok... -fangirl mode- oh well... what's great about the show was that they performed 'Alapaap'. yay! Before playing it, Ely's introduction was that their next song is something popularized by 6 cycle minds... then the music intro started and every E-heads fan screamed hehehe... nothing beats the original after all (",x)

Ma’am Len moved along Makati. And that means I can take a hitch ride with them at night again. I’m quite happy, I missed going home with her and Kuya Mike… I have just joined the PJWFL Bish contest, it’s really fun. This contest was meant for self-pics addict like me hahaha… I posted 24 pics last night… that was the first time I posted that many pics outside my blog and friendster, wonder what’ll they say hehehe. Also after such a long time, was able to talk to Jason (thru phone). I kinda missed hanging around with him… He seems to be really serious with his MA studies, I envy his perseverance… And then, Sakuma visited me yesterday. Well it’s been a long time since she bugged me hahaha… she seems bored, I envy her huge free time… why do I feel like I’ve been away from my friends for a long time already huh? by the way, I have to get a new job as soon as possible… my boss will be asking HR to change my sched to the regular 8-5 duty this summer break… oh no…. that means I wouldn’t have the time to look for a new job this summer. So I have to move while my sched’s this good…

It’s so freaking hot! You bet it’s the start of summer. When I was still a student, the heat was the sign of a long rest! Summer vacation of course. It used to be exciting. But now, it doesn’t make any difference, summer or rainy, you have to go to work *sigh*. Well, I’m a student again, the vacation would have a slight impact on me since I have a special schedule at work, so I guess I should be happy (a little). But damn, going back to heat, it’s killing me! Even with 2 e-fans focused on me, and I’m wearing my usual sleeping get-up -sando and shorts- huh I’m still sweating like hell! And it’s so damn hard to sleep when the temperature’s up like that. I’m thankful that it rained last night, somehow, it cool a little… I want an ACU!!!
Anyway, the other day I went to Medical City to visit an aunt who had just a major operation. I am already aware that Medical City moved to a new and bigger building also along Ortigas, but I never imagined that the improvement was overwhelming. The last time I went there was 11 years ago, when my grandfather had his 2nd mild stroke. Everything I knew of Medical City back then was erased when I saw the new one. It doesn’t seem like being in a hospital when you’re at the lobby. It feels like being in a hotel hehehe. And dear Lord they have a Starbucks IN the lobby. Cool huh. Anyway, I felt a little sad for MDH, our facilities were too far behind Medical City, St. Luke’s and Makati Med. I’m frustrated, we have a bunch of competent doctors, they deserve facilities matching those hospitals… oh well… doctors have clinics in more than one hospital, I’m sure most of them are staying in any of those hospitals too.

No classes and work for me today, I stayed at Starbucks Robinson the whole day... I consumed two tall cups of coffee... My second round is the featured Cinnamon Streusel Latte. I just love cinnamon, I couldn’t let this pass. And though I’m broke to death, as long as I have my credit card, I can survive hehehe… ah spent hours of relaxing like an exhausted adult... reading manga... ‘Goth’. I forgot the mangaka, but it’s really interesting. The lead characters are not your typical shojo manga character. Just a brief description, the lead characters are both obsessed with torture and killing/gory stuff… for real, and that’s what drives them together. Well it seems that both have hidden desire to kill each other (mr. and mrs. Smith? hehehe). Oh, but that damn Sakuma, giving me the 1st volume only, which left me hanging… again… aww these manga in my PC… really!!! Man, my coffee consumption is finally taking effect... i'm palpitating... haay, last year, somebody special used to remind me to moderate my coffee intake....

hmmm... just got the pics from the J-pop concert courtesy of Jill.. anyways, my problem is, how come can't view my blog in my PC? hmmm, haven't tried it in other comp though but i'm getting worried...

Ahh, I just finished the chapter 149 of HXH… it’s the latest I got and it got me hangin’ again… aww not fair! Grrr, it was getting so interesting already. hmmm, even if this Chimera Ant saga is somewhat like the Cell of DBZ, it varies with the fact that the characters are dispersed and each was given enough opportunity for character development, even the King himself is getting more interesting. I’m at the part that he’s challenging world champions in various board games. Being an impressively fast learner, after learning the mechanics of each board game, he can easily establish a strategy and not only that, he can easily predict the flow of his opponent’s moves, eventually disrupting them. But this one player of the board game ‘gun-gi’ (I dunno what it is), is a blind girl and he’s currently having a hard time disrupting her flow. But what’s interesting is that it seems he’s developing emotion, because of the girl’s character… she had a past, had a lost child… and it seems that he felt some sort of sympathy towards her… really interesting. Hmmm, how am I suppose to know what’s gonna happen next? Arghhhh!!!

I’m posting 3 entries today. Those entries that I should’ve posted days ago, but blogspot seems to have some technical problems and I couldn’t log in. Anyway, I've got tons of pics from Lynn's wedding already, but i really hate to post it. Damn, everyone who sees them had the same initial comments -ang taba mo!- ack!!! oh pls... God help me loose my appetite -sobs-

-coughs- I love fruits… -sniff- I’m a fruit lover… -sneeze- I eat a lot of fruits everyday! What the?! Anyway, my point here is, I believe I have a proper intake of Vitamin C, yet I easily acquire cold and coughs nowadays. Why is that? Environment eh? Most likely… I just hate it –coughs-. But anyway, being a fruit lover, this lunch, I tried Fruit Unlimited’s Strawberry x Green Mango shake combi! I love it hehehe…

Hmmm, it’s the start of the week again and I’m feeling stumpy again. I think I’m exhausted from all the events that took place these past few days. Ah, I just learned that we do have a fashion related subject. Can’t wait to tell Chris about it hehehe. On our 3rd year, it’s under ‘Textile Design’. In fact we have a fashion show tomorrow, facilitated by 3rd year students of course, but we freshmen were required to attend as per instruction of our HOA professor, Ma’am Tengco. Also, she (my prof) asked me to lend my Momonja (once and for all, it’s the name of my laptop) for the AV presentation of the juniors. Geez, I envy his participation on various events. Lynn borrowed him also for the AV presentation during the reception of her wedding. Way to go Momonja huh.

Oh yeah, I just remember, I’m already at chapter 193 of HXH! I’m through with the Greed Island saga. Everything was similar to anime. Except that some things were explained in detail. Now everything I’d be telling would be a total spoiler, so those who have or haven’t seen the 3rd OVA, back off reading hehehe… okay remember that after completing the game, Gon and Killua chose the cards ‘Accompany’ and ‘Crusader’s Necklace’. Though it was already explained in the OVA, let me go through it. Players can only carry imposed slot cards in the ‘take home’ binder. Accompany is a free slot card. What Gon did was transformed it into an imposed slot card, that is ‘One Yard of Coastline’ using ‘Fake’. Then he also took the Crusader’s Necklace as it nullifies the effect of fake. So when they got back in the real world (well GI is in real world anyway) they took the cards they got (Biscuit took Blue Planet) after transforming the Crusader’s Necklace into its item form (gain!), the faked card transformed back into accompany. The reason Gon chose to take this card is that he had a strong (and logical) intuition that his father played the game using the name NIGG, which he saw in Golimu’s binder (the oldest player in GI). So, as Gon cried “Accompany, Nigg!” they got transported in a pond-like place and an unidentified person is seen fishing behind a tree. And that is where the 3rd OVA ended. Cliffhanger huh? Anyway, here’s the real spoiler… so who’s that person behind the tree? Gin? Nope! Why of course, it has become Gon’s primary objective, why end the thrill this early huh. Well that guy was actually *spoiler* Kaito, yes, Gin’s friend and the guy who instigated Gon to become hunter and find his father. Well it appeared that Gin actually requested Eta to bring Gon to him only if he used ‘magnetic force’, that means Gon has to be alone to meet his father. Hmm, how come Gin was very sure on his predictions about his son huh…but doesn’t he want his son to have friends… well whatever that is… only Togashi-san knows hehehe… I’m at a new saga already. This time Gon and Killua are teaming up with Kaito and hunting down creatures that devour human beings.. honestly it’s rather boring… the current plot kinda reminds me of Dragon Ball Z –GT… I remember that at the part of Cell saga, I stopped watching Dragon Ball Z… well the plot for me has become rather pointless… with Son Goku’s never-ending quest to get stronger… it has become boring. And one more thing, the artwork of HXH I must say have become so simple… I maybe just overloaded with Shojo mangas’ complexity… but come on, you have to see it yourself. Well whatever, these are just my personal opinions. I believe in Yoshihiro Togashi, I know he could pull it off. Oh well, so much for my rantings, I’m going back to reading.
By the way, Howl’s Moving Castle didn’t make it at the recent Oscars, but Memoirs of a Geisha won the Best in Costume Design award, lo we’re talking bout Japanese traditional clothes here. Hurray for my most beloved nation! Hehehe…

I’m home!!! Gaah! It’s been three weeks since I’ve seen my folks. I missed my parents and collection sooo much! Okay, I missed my siblings a little. And I missed my bed! But their not here right now, they went on birthday party (my mom, dad, Richard and Rose). So it’s the “bunso” who’re left huh.

Anyway, updates about Lynn’s wedding. It was great, during the entourage march, when it was Lynn’s turn to march down the aisle, I saw Roy crying. It’s not common that you’d see a man cry, and it was tears of joy I could tell. And I was really touched, I knew he really loves my friend, and I’m really happy for Lynn. Finally, she can be happy. It was not so long ago when she’s just a cry baby. Always crying over her lost love hehehe… but now… my best wishes to the newly wed couple. Pictures? Oh I’d hate to load them up! I look like a ‘siopao’ hehehe.

Hmm, I thought I wouldn’t survive another day last Friday I was literally out of cash. I already called my dad for help. But then I had to wait because he was in the church when I called. So Fars lend me for a while. Whew, thank goodness. She’s really kind, always ready to help whenever she can. I had my pedicure for the first time last Friday too. It was expensive but I liked it, I mean the feeling that my toe nails were being cleaned hehehe. The feeling’s not the same when I do it myself. It was so relaxing.

And what have I discover at the Peninsula Manila, I was with Lynn’s family all the time, so my stay there, were always with them. They saw a lot of celebrity which I’m not familiar of. I liked the pool area, it seems it’d feel really good to smoke there hehehe… It was really fancy huh but the rooms don’t differ much as that of Dusit Hotel. And the hotel is “wired”. Momonja detected 3 wireless connections! The two needed passwords to connect though. And the other one, Manila Pen’s account, is for free but the signal at my room is low. According to the attendant, excellent signal can be found at the lobby, but I had no time to check…tsk tsk… everybody was in a rush already… haay weddings…

Hmmm… 2 days to go and it’s the big day for Lynn. Haay, I haven’t made any preparations. I don’t have the required shoes (silver) yet and I haven’t bought a wedding gift yet *sigh*. I’m actually excited on the fact that I’m gonna sleep at the hotel she’s staying – Peninsula Manila. Gosh, I haven’t stepped on this classy hotel ever. I think Manila Pen is the best hotel in Metro Manila that’s why I’m getting so excited hehehe.

Thank goodness my pizza craving is over. We at the office had 2 pizza deliveries this week. The first one was last Tuesday, Fars and I chipped in and used the Palm Card that I borrowed from Sherry. Then this afternoon, Ma’am Alice treated us hehehe. And lucky day, the delivery was late therefore we received 3 pizzas! Now I’ve had enough of mozzarella cheese hehehe…

By the way, I just want to share, I wore a Hawaiian shirt yesterday. It was the birthday gift of my former boss last year. I really don’t like floral design but I had nothing else to wear. Except for my office uniform, I wasn’t able to bring my dirty clothes to laundry shop, my cousin is getting annoyed at me already hehehe. Anyway, I was teased as a “child” of Lito Atienza (Mayor of Manila who’s always in floral polo shirt). But I actually liked it matched with my khaki shorts… I’m more androgynous than ever hahaha… I just wish I’d lose some weight *sigh* ah! I tried San Francisco Coffee this morning (used my card hehehe). Gaah! It’s more expensive than Starbucks… but less tastier *frown* but it’s located in the WiFi Zone of Rob Place so I guess it’s okay hehehe. WiFi at Starbucks is not free so…

Thursday, March 02, 2006

It’s Ash Wednesday. I’m thankful that I was able to hear the mass at the Hospital’s chapel. Look at my forehead! Whew, actually I’m really guilty that I have forgotten about it this morning and I have eaten meat for lunch… anyways, just a few minutes ago, Fars treated me to Starbucks. Coffee is best when it’s Starbucks… and it’s free hehehe… the moment we got our order, it suddenly rained… a hard rain… so we have no choice but to drink our coffee there (it was supposed to be “to go”) then just a very few minutes the we shook… earthquake hehehe… damn it was strong huh! Gosh, what’s happening… going back to rain, I’m thankful it rained because it’s so freaking hot already! I’m gonna have a good sleep tonight… and by the way, Ma’am Len is pregnant! Woah! So many babies for this year – Jona’s, Ate Cherie’s, Lynn’s and of course Ma’am Len’s… hehehe…

Wednesday, March 01, 2006

It’s the end of the month alright. So far, nothing special happened… except I lost my cellphone… I tried contacting Killua-chan… I got an indirect reply (probably)… the first time I’ve seen a live performance of a J-pop band… so far… no improvement. Anyway, Richard Paras, or Chichiri (as Sherry, Sri and I fondly call him) treated me to Starbucks today. He’s a school/batch mate and a fellow Metrobank Scholar. It’s his last day in MDH. He’ll be leaving for Singapore on March 11. He’s a registered nurse, but he took fashion design studies while working. It’s his real passion. Now he’s off to Singapore for further studies. I kinda envy him. He’s following his heart’s desire. Well I am, in a way, slowly taking the path of my dreams, but I’m slowly loosing motivation… so many factors involved… Haay, I’m sick. It’s this stupid runny nose again…

Damn! The bad thing of being unaware of political chaos happening in the country. I don’t watch TV and I don’t read newspaper… I was busy with my term papers and HXH manga last night… so I wasn’t aware that today’s classes were suspended… *sigh* I woke up so early even though I’m still sleepy… well, it’s a good thing already… I can rest earlier and I’ll be able to my term papers for submission tomorrow... I have a meeting to attend though in MDH this 1:00pm… *sigh*

I have a lot of things to tell… anyways, let me start, the night of February 24, when I went home (boarding house) from office. An annoying situation happened. The main door’s lock was broken. Therefore I can’t get in. Damn, while on the way, I conditioned myself that I’ll be fixing my stuffs for the concert… I would be munching mashed potato and stuffed crust pizza while reading Hunter X Hunter manga… everything seems perfect if not for that f*cking lock! For less than 30 minutes I tried opening the door… damn I was starving already! Then, I got really pissed already. I wouldn’t want to wait for more than 5 minutes for my housemates to arrive. It’s not the best idea to wait outside the house. So I decided to ask for help. I had no one to run to. Mike offered that I can stay in his place, but I don’t like the idea of staying overnight by myself at a guy’s house, otherwise I could ask Raymond or Jason, they’re just a few blocks away from my place anyway. So I called Sherry, I knew she’d be off that night too since her job’s night shift, but I had no choice. Besides, I don’t feel like “others” anymore at her home. Well to say, of all the friends I have, it’s only Sherry’s family who’s close to me. So it’s okay if I stay even if she’s not around. And I went there and I received the usual warm welcome from the family. Just a few minutes after I arrived, Sherry left the house, then her mom invited me to join in the happening in the neighbor. Sherry’s elder bro, Russel was there too so I joined for a while. Then I went back to their house and cleaned myself. Off to bed, I can finally continue reading HXH! Yay! Best part is, I’m gonna have a very goodnight sleep for having a clean, more spacious and air-conditioned room. But despite that, I still can’t get over my annoyance for being stuck outside the boarding house. I just hate it when my plans fail! Anyway, I’m still thankful that Sherry’s around…

Now came the most awaited day of the month. When Sherry arrived, She ordered a pizza for our lunch heheh.. Then she took a look at my laptop. She browsed thru its specs and she was really amazed hehehe. But I was more amazed when she explained me its WiFi capacity. I thought to myself, since when did she become so knowledgeable about computers hahaha. She configured it so it could automatically detect wireless connection in WiFi zones in the country. After we ate, I bid goodbye, of course with an arrangement that I’ll fetch her for the concert.

Then I went to the office, only to photocopy Kring’s (Sherry’s younger sis) campaign materials for their student council election at school. After that, my adventure began. My objective was to find the M-design Apparel shop. It specializes on wedding gowns, and it is where Lynn had our gowns seamed. Thanks to my lost phone I wasn’t able to come with her sisters for the final fitting last week. She can’t accompany either since she’s on bed rest. Well, good thing I didn’t had a hard time finding it. It took me no time in fitting the gown. I had nothing else to request. It’s for pick-up already, which Lynn would be responsible (thank goodness). After the fitting, I contacted Lynn. I was supposed to go to her place to pick up the wedding invitation, but she just asked Roy to meet me in Buendia to handover the invitation. Everything seems to be in favor of me now. As soon as I got the invitation, I went home. The lock was hopeless already that the Landlord instructed us not to lock the main door if we’ll be out. Good! I rested a little and fixed myself for the concert. I was so excited already.

This’d be the first time I’d be on a concert (at 23?! Tsk tsk). I went back to Sherry’s place this time I brought clothes. I knew that it’d be better that I stay there for the night, since we’ll surely be coming home late. Off we go to Shangri-la. We met up with Mike at Starbucks, then we proceed to the venue – Streetscape! I was expecting it to be an open atrium. It’s a concert event afterall. But to my disappointment, it was actually Shang’s version of Megastrip. Great huh. There were seats and tables and of course, food stalls, outdoor inns, to say. There was a small stage and seats were put across it. While the inns are located a little farther from the stage, it was where we situated. Mike was with Paolo and his friend Jill. Chris, Aish and the PJs were there too, but they were seated at the far end of the venue. In less than 1 hour, the show started. The first performer was Barbie Almabis followed by Kitchie Nadal. We ended up advancing to the stage and sitting in a slightly elevated platform at the back of the audience’s seats, at least we were able to see better the artists. Barbie looks really cute but Kitchie has definitely better style of music. Then the most awaited Core of Soul took over. They introduced themselves in tagalog (Ako si…). I just love it when Nihonjin tries to speak our language hehehe. I had forgotten their names already. I could only remember Keisuke, the Keyboardist. The guitarist looks really androgynous! He’s not bishounen though, but Sherry and I were arguing whether he was a male or female. He really looked girly to me hehehe. Anyways, he was really cool in playing guitar. The vocalist isn’t bad either. It’s just too bad that I really have no idea who they are or what their music is all about. I couldn’t fully appreciate them. But their music is definitely likeable. After 6-7, I think, songs, the band Hale took off the stage. By the way, there some questions and answer games for the fans in betweens. JFMO gave away some posters and CD/DVDs. I’d be honest, of all the local performers featured, it was only Hale that I looked forward in seeing if only to hear “The Day You Said Goodnight”… it reminds me of … Surprisingly, Sherry liked it too. Anyways, Hale sang 4 or 5 songs. Then all the featured artists collaborated for a final song. After the fusion, the show concluded with Core of Soul, singing the Japan-Philippines Friendship day theme song, “Purple Sky”. It was a great performance anyway. After the show, Sherry and I and Mike’s group went to Megastrip to eat. I was so disappointed that Teriyaki Boi was closed at that time already. We ate a Chinese ramen house instead. After the dinner, we called it a day.

Anyway, the good news is now that my laptop is configured for wireless connection, I can now connect to the internet in “hot spots” or WiFi zones! Cool! I’ve tried it yesterday at Robinson’s place… In fact I’m wifi connected now hehehe, and I’m really excited! All thanks to Sherry hehehe… now my assignment is, to look for other places with free WiFi connections hehehe…. This is so cool hehehe…

No matter how I put it, this country is hopeless… yesterday we’re okay. The next day you turn on the TV and you see some demonstration in the historic EDSA shrine. Oh please, how many times do we Filipinos have to see this scenario? This is really pathetic, I don’t give a damn, but hell I’m a Filipino, as much as I hated, I can’t do anything but be annoyed! Anyways, what’s really annoying is that it’s affecting the future events that I might be attending. Like , for Pete’s sake, I have a concert to attend tomorrow. The very first time that I’ll be in a concert, and it’s no ordinary band! Because it’s a J-pop band! Yes, real Nihonjin-tachi. Worse, the venue is Shangri-la Plaza, now where is it? It just happen to be one Train station away from EDSA shrine. Great huh? Now I’m afraid that Sherry would back out coming with me! Good heavens, why does this always happen to me?!

Anyway, I’m already at chapter 67 of Hunter X Hunter. Now I’m starting to appreciate more the manga version. There was never, as far as I could remember, a mention about the defense weapon of the Mafia group – the Injyuus! Yay, but disappointingly, they were far weaker than the Generyodan. Also, I’m so amazed at Miruki’s figurine collection. Haha, it was just a glimpse, but Miruki has Yusuke, Hiei, Kurama and even Sailormoon in his collection. Kawaii!!! I only have Yusuke in my collection *sigh*. And of course, like any other manga versus anime version, there was more room for character development. Senritsu, for one, her existence and objective for joining Nostrad’s group of bodyguard was explained. And I’m really loving it. All hail to Yoshihiro Togashi! Killua is so kawaiiiiiii!!!!

Hmmm, since I lost my cellphone already, for my regular (blog) visitors, Maui and Ikari, I hope to see you tomorrow at Shangri-la…

Friday, February 24, 2006

When it’s my lucky night, I dream of you… I’m sticking on this lucky charm thingie that I’ve seen in Hatsukoi… I even matched it with my shirt…

I got up so early. Jona asked me to bring her urine sample to the laboratory. *sigh* you just can’t say no to your pregnant cousin… I wanted to sleep more…

anyways, I’ve been craving for KFC’s mashed potato since Sunday! Where have all the mashed potatoes gone?! The third time I tried yesterday at Robinson’s Place, it’s still not available… also, I’m craving for Pizza Hut… I don’t care about the toppings! I just want the mozzarella stuffed edge of pizza! Yeah, I want it so badly, I’m already being tempted to use my card hehehe…

I’ve been reading the Hunter X Hunter manga, I’m already at chapter 55. It was the part that Gon and Killua are having their first Nen training at the Celestial Tower, under the care of Wing-sensei. And I’m enjoying it as much as I enjoyed the anime. So far, I haven’t spotted any difference yet, story wise. Well, I must’ve forgotten some details in anime.. I can’t wait to get to the Greed Island part… what makes it more interesting is the Mangaka notes! Yay! Now every Togashi fan knows that he is married to Naoko Takeuchi, the mangaka of Sailormoon (what a couple huh!). There were some parts that Togashi-sama would mention about Takeuchi-san, and I really find it interesting. Anyway, during the first popularity survey of HXH, guess who got the 1st place? Yep, no other than my dearest Killua-chan! Yay!!! With more than votes! The next was Kurapica followed by Gon, then Hisoka.

Updates, updates!

Okay, this is a late news already, but this is my blog so I just have to mention, I lost my phone last Feb. 16 (Thursday)… *sigh* I have been remarked stupid by my family, friends and colleagues already… yeah yeah, I admit… how stupid of me… left it at the cab… so stupid of me not to check… but anyway, it may take a long time before I get a new one. I have still so many bills to pay (credit cards)… and even if I got the cash, it’s not in my priority list… besides, I’m starting to get used to it already. Soshite… the only person I wanted to text has forgotten my existence anyway… I can still contact my friends thru landline or email anyway… so it’s not necessary to get one for now. Damn, I don’t give a shit about the unit, it’s a low-end phone anyway. What made me really feel bad is that I lost the SIM card… Huhuhu, it was the first and only SIM I had… ah I had a Sun Cellular given by a friend, it got lost too… but this Globe SIM… is really important to me… I had it since I was in 3rd year college…

Anyways, on other updates, a while ago, Gel came in the office for formal endorsement. It’s been a month since she went AWOL. Haha, you bet we missed her a lot. She had been my partner when it comes to making office more alive. Maybe one of the reasons that the work has become more boring and monotonous is because people who have contributed to the laughter in the office are leaving one by one… I should start to look somewhere to go too… this place is not worth staying.

I bought colorful band aids, Mediplast, I saw in the movie “Hatsukoi” that it’s a lucky charm if you put it in your ring finger. I bought 20 strips and I’m putting one till I ran out of stock, with a wish that… it’s just on me…

By the way, today was the start of the Document Awareness Training in MDH. We’re conducting this training every Wednesday, and we are 12 Systems Trainer to conduct the training. But my schedule is still months away, I just helped Ma’am Len, our lead trainer with the logistics.

Yesterday, our class went to UP Diliman, and watched a dance performance by the UP Filipiniana Dance Group. The name suggested already that most of the performance they did were ethnic and folk dances. However, in the later part, they did a series of interpretative dance to the tune of contemporary music. As I could remember, the songs were “No Matter What” by Boyzone, “Iris” (Googoo Dolls), “Hands To Heaven” (Breathless) and “I’ll Be” (Edwin McCain)… anyway, what made these numbers interesting is it was actually a tribute to the members of the 3rd sex. Haha, two men dancing together as partners is just freaking exciting! *yaoi mode* Anyway, after the performance, I went straight to Shangri-La, I was suppose to watch Eiga Sai but when I saw that the 8pm film is Hatsu Koi, I backed out. Why risk myself going home late over something I’ve seen already? I loved the film actually and I woudn’t mind seeing it again if only it was a little earlier. Anyway, my trip there wasn’t put to waste as there is an ongoing J-pop exhibit and Japan photography at 4th and 3rd floors respectively. Then I hanged out a little at the veranda in 6th floor. I just love hanging out there alone…
