I just want to share, it’s been a year since I had my ear pierced… I remember it so clearly… it was Easter Sunday…okay I don’t want to get sentimental now so I won’t go into details anymore…

I just finished the anime Beck… hmmm, not bad but nothing remarkable either… I liked the opening song… maybe if I’m someone who’s an AVID fan of rock bands…

Speaking of bands… I didn’t come home again this weekend… I’m cost cutting… being based in the province is quite expensive if you’re working in Metro Manila… I’m talking of transpo expenses. Anyways, last Saturday Fars invited me to go the Winston Wings Tour 2006 in Malate. They featured Bamboo, Parokya ni Edgar and Sugarfree. Its free… so I thought… why not… it’s not everyday that you’d see a free live performance of the country’s top bands. I am not a fan of local bands, as I have mentioned long before (I think) I only liked E-heads. But I do like some local band songs (random). Besides, I’ve always wanted to see a live performance of Parokya ni Edgar. I’ve always heard that they are really makulet. Well, I could tell just listening to their songs. So how was the concert? Well, one thing I’ve learned, if it says in the marketing collaterals and news plugging that the program would start at 7:00, it would actually start at 9:00 so don’t bother to come on time or earlier. Darn, Fars, Mike and I waited for more than 2 hours! Neil was lucky enough that he came around 9pm, he was still able to get some sleep. I just hope it’s not the case with major concerts, especially that of foreign performers. About the performers, I couldn’t say much about Sugarfree, I was actually bored with them… I think out of the 3, they were the band that sang the most numbers, or am I just that bored. I did like one of their song, I just don’t know the title, it says something –magpapaalam na ako sa aking kwarto…- then came Parokya ni Edgar, hahaha, I really had fun seeing them… they were really makulet. What’s really wonderful about them is that they keep on promoting fellow rock bands –kamikazee, sugarfree, bamboo, hale- etc. Chito (vocals) was even wearing a “maharot” shirt of kamikaze… I liked it! But I’m not a fan of their music, I only loved “halaga”. Their songs are good to hear for stimulation, I swear I’d always laugh hearing their songs… but nothing beyond that, it’s not something I’d want to hear for any season or mood. But I was so excited when they sang “Narda” (by Kamikazee), though they didn’t finish it, tsk, tsk… I’m really hooked to that song hehehe… Bamboo… uhmm, well their music is powerful, they have this distinctive style in music… but I couldn’t really appreciate it. But seeing Bamboo rock like that makes me want to jump and head bang… rock on yeah! Well I did like some of his songs during Rivermaya era (Awit ng Kabataan & 214). And Bamboo is really an eye candy, no wonder Fars is soooo addicted hehehe… Well, another thing I realized is that I’ll never situate near the speaker, or the front row. I love loud rock music, but I do not want to impair my hearing. Really, after the gig, my ears felt numb. I swear, I’m reserving to hear music THAT loud for L`Arc~en~ciel… hmmm, I wish when I get to Japan, they’re still active…

It’s Narda on my music player right now…

Anyways, yesterday, it was a good thing I browsed my planner. I have forgotten that Eiga Sai was showing in CCP stated last Saturday. Too bad I missed it… oh well, I got to see a concert… and I was able to watch 2 movies yesterday anyway. Yay! back to J-culture! I stayed at Starbucks Vito Cruz while waiting, I know, I’m supposed to cut my expenses, but I’d die of heat stroke if I stayed at the boarding house for more than an hour. And I actually have 2 e-fans on huh, it doesn’t make any difference. Besides, my destination is CCP, it’ll be good, I’d be able to walk –exercise-…

The first film was entitled ‘A Summer Page’. It’s a story about 3 boys who set out on a mountain climbing one summer day to fulfill a promise with their sensei who died a year ago. Japanese kids are the cutest I swear hehehe… I just love the sight of young boys in super-short shorts -nosebleeds- hehehe… basically the story tackles puberty, friendship and courage… nothing new actually but I just have this soft spot on childhood friendships. I have a lot of things missed during childhood, and having friends is just one of it. I do have playmates –neighbors- but friends are different… being a loner that I am, I never really experienced hanging out with friends when I was a kid. Letters, I think is very common that time. I remember reading Sherry’s friend letters during her gradeschool and highschool days… and I really can’t help feeling envious, because I never had those kinds of letters… I laughed at every message her friends and classmates told to her… they are nothing but silliness and innocence in deed… but they are memories… and I know that I was once as silly and innocent as them. Don’t get me wrong, I had a happy childhood I swear, but it’s just that I had no social life… well I did have letters during highschool, but they came from my siblings and relatives hehehe…While waiting for the next I roamed around CCP. I just love that place. A very suitable place for drifting from reality, just seeing the artworks on display in the halls makes me feel proud of Filipinos’ talent… There wss an ongoing ballet performance at one of the theaters… I saw some child ballet dancers… cute… but I didn’t watch, there was an entrance fee so…

The next film was “Young Girls in Love”, this time girls huh. The title says it all though, a story of 4 girls in love. I want to talk more about it but I don’t have the time now, I’m on a hurry right now…

Oh well, gotta go.

-awit na nanawagan, baka sakali napakikinggan, pag-ibig na palaisipan, sa kanta na lang idadaan. Nag-aabang sa langit, sa mga ulap sumisilip, sa likod ng mga tala, kahit sulyap lang Darna-

MARCH 19 is Kid's Stripes Day

Okay, it's March 20 already... but yesterday, after transferring some newly taken pics from Sherry's mobile phone into my computer, i browsed all my solo pics -narcissistic mode- i saw a pic of mine taken on the same day last year... and what a coincident, i was wearing a stipe-designed shirt too! And with that, i declare that every March 19, i should wear stripes! Yeah!

But, I just want to share, that the first pic was taken last year and is a rare find... why, i wonder if anyone would notice that for real, i was smiling... for some reason, i was really happy at that time... March 19, 2005... the second one.. well never mind... i'm a bit happy na rin

Don’t bother to ask where I am… it’s a straight week in Starbucks huh?! Well, I’d have to blame myself if my debts got me huh… whew, what a day it has been… hmm, to back track, going back this morning…

I got up early, my duty for today’s off-set, well that is to say, doesn’t matter if what time I’ll go in and out as long as I completed the mandatory 8 hours. The reason is that I have to attend the Fire Safety Seminar and Document Awareness Training. Thing is, both are slated on the same time, so I wasn’t able to attend the former… have no choice, as much as I want to attend, the Systems Training is my priority. Hmmm, at any time, Ma’am Len may take her maternity leave, and when that happens, I’ll take over her place as lead trainer, and I must be technically prepared… the lecturer for today is She-Ann, an Onco-Pharmacist, and also the assigned Lead Auditor for this semester. She discussed the Chemotherapy Services Procedure. I’m starting to like the systems training… it makes me more aware of the hospital operations, and at the same time it makes me more aware that there are actually discrepancies among doctors and paramedical staff…

I find this interesting… there are some doctors who prepares or ask nurses to prepare cytotoxic drugs without the use of the ‘safety cabinet’. Ma’am Len herself admitted that she herself conducts the chemo drugs preparation for 5 years without the use of ‘safety cabinet’ or any protective suit! But She-ann, as a pharmacist, is strongly against that practice. And some doctors too would say, why procure something so expensive when it’s feasible to do the chemo drugs under regular circumstances/environment. Well, ma’am Len told me, that the effect is 15 years after, so she may just wait if the so called adverse effect were true. There were no studies to support it anyway.

Okay enough about cytotoxic drugs, during the lecture, I’m amazed at Ma’am Len, she’s really something, there was this issue that She-ann and Dr. Joson were arguing about that I couldn’t follow… but when ma’am Len butt-in, I understood clearly what they were talking of all along. I was also inspired of Ma’am Len’s initiative to take actions (plans) for various issues being raised at every systems training session. As a result, Dr. Joson came up with a Task Force to take in charge of ironing-out of the raised issues. Haay, I was assigned to be a part of the task force and that’d mean additional work load… plus, it’ll hinder on my plans to leave the Hospital *sigh* but I am really honored to have gained the trust of Ma’am Len and Dr. Joson. Here they go again with so much expectation from me huh.

Then lunch, the agenda for the afternoon, closing audit! Ma’am She, Fars and I audited Laboratory, NICU, NSO, BDD and HR Training. It’s kinda frustrating, that for so many NCs committed for the past few months after the ISO certification, only 2 were closed *sigh*… man, our systems has a looooooong way to go…. But it’s nice to see the flaws of a unit’s systems, there are always rooms for improvements. Man, i had an headache after the audit... just listening to each unit's problem -hohum-

After the audit, Fars and I went to Robinson’s Place to watch the Pupil Mall Tour. I’m not really a fervent fan of local bands, but I really loved the music of E-heads… and I like Ely’s voice, I got curious how he was doing without his former band mates… his music is still powerful (at least for me)… I liked some of the band’s songs already, I just don’t know the titles, but I remember one –Nasan ka- and I loved it…hmmm, it’s really rare for me to like non-Japanese songs hehehe… what’s more, I got to get the band’s autograph and pics… I find the bassist -Dok- cute hehehe…got a pic with him! The lead guitarist –Yani- even gave me the pen he’s using, well that’s because I was the last one to ask for autograph… I let them sign in my Starbucks planner hahaha… but my frustration is, wasn't able to take a pic with Ely, he's the reason why i watched the band damn! when i was about to take a pic with him, the cam prompted that the memory card is full! Damn, i only got a pic with Dok... -fangirl mode- oh well... what's great about the show was that they performed 'Alapaap'. yay! Before playing it, Ely's introduction was that their next song is something popularized by 6 cycle minds... then the music intro started and every E-heads fan screamed hehehe... nothing beats the original after all (",x)

Ma’am Len moved along Makati. And that means I can take a hitch ride with them at night again. I’m quite happy, I missed going home with her and Kuya Mike… I have just joined the PJWFL Bish contest, it’s really fun. This contest was meant for self-pics addict like me hahaha… I posted 24 pics last night… that was the first time I posted that many pics outside my blog and friendster, wonder what’ll they say hehehe. Also after such a long time, was able to talk to Jason (thru phone). I kinda missed hanging around with him… He seems to be really serious with his MA studies, I envy his perseverance… And then, Sakuma visited me yesterday. Well it’s been a long time since she bugged me hahaha… she seems bored, I envy her huge free time… why do I feel like I’ve been away from my friends for a long time already huh? by the way, I have to get a new job as soon as possible… my boss will be asking HR to change my sched to the regular 8-5 duty this summer break… oh no…. that means I wouldn’t have the time to look for a new job this summer. So I have to move while my sched’s this good…

It’s so freaking hot! You bet it’s the start of summer. When I was still a student, the heat was the sign of a long rest! Summer vacation of course. It used to be exciting. But now, it doesn’t make any difference, summer or rainy, you have to go to work *sigh*. Well, I’m a student again, the vacation would have a slight impact on me since I have a special schedule at work, so I guess I should be happy (a little). But damn, going back to heat, it’s killing me! Even with 2 e-fans focused on me, and I’m wearing my usual sleeping get-up -sando and shorts- huh I’m still sweating like hell! And it’s so damn hard to sleep when the temperature’s up like that. I’m thankful that it rained last night, somehow, it cool a little… I want an ACU!!!
Anyway, the other day I went to Medical City to visit an aunt who had just a major operation. I am already aware that Medical City moved to a new and bigger building also along Ortigas, but I never imagined that the improvement was overwhelming. The last time I went there was 11 years ago, when my grandfather had his 2nd mild stroke. Everything I knew of Medical City back then was erased when I saw the new one. It doesn’t seem like being in a hospital when you’re at the lobby. It feels like being in a hotel hehehe. And dear Lord they have a Starbucks IN the lobby. Cool huh. Anyway, I felt a little sad for MDH, our facilities were too far behind Medical City, St. Luke’s and Makati Med. I’m frustrated, we have a bunch of competent doctors, they deserve facilities matching those hospitals… oh well… doctors have clinics in more than one hospital, I’m sure most of them are staying in any of those hospitals too.

No classes and work for me today, I stayed at Starbucks Robinson the whole day... I consumed two tall cups of coffee... My second round is the featured Cinnamon Streusel Latte. I just love cinnamon, I couldn’t let this pass. And though I’m broke to death, as long as I have my credit card, I can survive hehehe… ah spent hours of relaxing like an exhausted adult... reading manga... ‘Goth’. I forgot the mangaka, but it’s really interesting. The lead characters are not your typical shojo manga character. Just a brief description, the lead characters are both obsessed with torture and killing/gory stuff… for real, and that’s what drives them together. Well it seems that both have hidden desire to kill each other (mr. and mrs. Smith? hehehe). Oh, but that damn Sakuma, giving me the 1st volume only, which left me hanging… again… aww these manga in my PC… really!!! Man, my coffee consumption is finally taking effect... i'm palpitating... haay, last year, somebody special used to remind me to moderate my coffee intake....

hmmm... just got the pics from the J-pop concert courtesy of Jill.. anyways, my problem is, how come can't view my blog in my PC? hmmm, haven't tried it in other comp though but i'm getting worried...

Ahh, I just finished the chapter 149 of HXH… it’s the latest I got and it got me hangin’ again… aww not fair! Grrr, it was getting so interesting already. hmmm, even if this Chimera Ant saga is somewhat like the Cell of DBZ, it varies with the fact that the characters are dispersed and each was given enough opportunity for character development, even the King himself is getting more interesting. I’m at the part that he’s challenging world champions in various board games. Being an impressively fast learner, after learning the mechanics of each board game, he can easily establish a strategy and not only that, he can easily predict the flow of his opponent’s moves, eventually disrupting them. But this one player of the board game ‘gun-gi’ (I dunno what it is), is a blind girl and he’s currently having a hard time disrupting her flow. But what’s interesting is that it seems he’s developing emotion, because of the girl’s character… she had a past, had a lost child… and it seems that he felt some sort of sympathy towards her… really interesting. Hmmm, how am I suppose to know what’s gonna happen next? Arghhhh!!!

I’m posting 3 entries today. Those entries that I should’ve posted days ago, but blogspot seems to have some technical problems and I couldn’t log in. Anyway, I've got tons of pics from Lynn's wedding already, but i really hate to post it. Damn, everyone who sees them had the same initial comments -ang taba mo!- ack!!! oh pls... God help me loose my appetite -sobs-

-coughs- I love fruits… -sniff- I’m a fruit lover… -sneeze- I eat a lot of fruits everyday! What the?! Anyway, my point here is, I believe I have a proper intake of Vitamin C, yet I easily acquire cold and coughs nowadays. Why is that? Environment eh? Most likely… I just hate it –coughs-. But anyway, being a fruit lover, this lunch, I tried Fruit Unlimited’s Strawberry x Green Mango shake combi! I love it hehehe…

Hmmm, it’s the start of the week again and I’m feeling stumpy again. I think I’m exhausted from all the events that took place these past few days. Ah, I just learned that we do have a fashion related subject. Can’t wait to tell Chris about it hehehe. On our 3rd year, it’s under ‘Textile Design’. In fact we have a fashion show tomorrow, facilitated by 3rd year students of course, but we freshmen were required to attend as per instruction of our HOA professor, Ma’am Tengco. Also, she (my prof) asked me to lend my Momonja (once and for all, it’s the name of my laptop) for the AV presentation of the juniors. Geez, I envy his participation on various events. Lynn borrowed him also for the AV presentation during the reception of her wedding. Way to go Momonja huh.

Oh yeah, I just remember, I’m already at chapter 193 of HXH! I’m through with the Greed Island saga. Everything was similar to anime. Except that some things were explained in detail. Now everything I’d be telling would be a total spoiler, so those who have or haven’t seen the 3rd OVA, back off reading hehehe… okay remember that after completing the game, Gon and Killua chose the cards ‘Accompany’ and ‘Crusader’s Necklace’. Though it was already explained in the OVA, let me go through it. Players can only carry imposed slot cards in the ‘take home’ binder. Accompany is a free slot card. What Gon did was transformed it into an imposed slot card, that is ‘One Yard of Coastline’ using ‘Fake’. Then he also took the Crusader’s Necklace as it nullifies the effect of fake. So when they got back in the real world (well GI is in real world anyway) they took the cards they got (Biscuit took Blue Planet) after transforming the Crusader’s Necklace into its item form (gain!), the faked card transformed back into accompany. The reason Gon chose to take this card is that he had a strong (and logical) intuition that his father played the game using the name NIGG, which he saw in Golimu’s binder (the oldest player in GI). So, as Gon cried “Accompany, Nigg!” they got transported in a pond-like place and an unidentified person is seen fishing behind a tree. And that is where the 3rd OVA ended. Cliffhanger huh? Anyway, here’s the real spoiler… so who’s that person behind the tree? Gin? Nope! Why of course, it has become Gon’s primary objective, why end the thrill this early huh. Well that guy was actually *spoiler* Kaito, yes, Gin’s friend and the guy who instigated Gon to become hunter and find his father. Well it appeared that Gin actually requested Eta to bring Gon to him only if he used ‘magnetic force’, that means Gon has to be alone to meet his father. Hmm, how come Gin was very sure on his predictions about his son huh…but doesn’t he want his son to have friends… well whatever that is… only Togashi-san knows hehehe… I’m at a new saga already. This time Gon and Killua are teaming up with Kaito and hunting down creatures that devour human beings.. honestly it’s rather boring… the current plot kinda reminds me of Dragon Ball Z –GT… I remember that at the part of Cell saga, I stopped watching Dragon Ball Z… well the plot for me has become rather pointless… with Son Goku’s never-ending quest to get stronger… it has become boring. And one more thing, the artwork of HXH I must say have become so simple… I maybe just overloaded with Shojo mangas’ complexity… but come on, you have to see it yourself. Well whatever, these are just my personal opinions. I believe in Yoshihiro Togashi, I know he could pull it off. Oh well, so much for my rantings, I’m going back to reading.
By the way, Howl’s Moving Castle didn’t make it at the recent Oscars, but Memoirs of a Geisha won the Best in Costume Design award, lo we’re talking bout Japanese traditional clothes here. Hurray for my most beloved nation! Hehehe…

Monday, March 06, 2006

I’m home!!! Gaah! It’s been three weeks since I’ve seen my folks. I missed my parents and collection sooo much! Okay, I missed my siblings a little. And I missed my bed! But their not here right now, they went on birthday party (my mom, dad, Richard and Rose). So it’s the “bunso” who’re left huh.

Anyway, updates about Lynn’s wedding. It was great, during the entourage march, when it was Lynn’s turn to march down the aisle, I saw Roy crying. It’s not common that you’d see a man cry, and it was tears of joy I could tell. And I was really touched, I knew he really loves my friend, and I’m really happy for Lynn. Finally, she can be happy. It was not so long ago when she’s just a cry baby. Always crying over her lost love hehehe… but now… my best wishes to the newly wed couple. Pictures? Oh I’d hate to load them up! I look like a ‘siopao’ hehehe.

Hmm, I thought I wouldn’t survive another day last Friday I was literally out of cash. I already called my dad for help. But then I had to wait because he was in the church when I called. So Fars lend me for a while. Whew, thank goodness. She’s really kind, always ready to help whenever she can. I had my pedicure for the first time last Friday too. It was expensive but I liked it, I mean the feeling that my toe nails were being cleaned hehehe. The feeling’s not the same when I do it myself. It was so relaxing.

And what have I discover at the Peninsula Manila, I was with Lynn’s family all the time, so my stay there, were always with them. They saw a lot of celebrity which I’m not familiar of. I liked the pool area, it seems it’d feel really good to smoke there hehehe… It was really fancy huh but the rooms don’t differ much as that of Dusit Hotel. And the hotel is “wired”. Momonja detected 3 wireless connections! The two needed passwords to connect though. And the other one, Manila Pen’s account, is for free but the signal at my room is low. According to the attendant, excellent signal can be found at the lobby, but I had no time to check…tsk tsk… everybody was in a rush already… haay weddings…

Friday, March 03, 2006

Hmmm… 2 days to go and it’s the big day for Lynn. Haay, I haven’t made any preparations. I don’t have the required shoes (silver) yet and I haven’t bought a wedding gift yet *sigh*. I’m actually excited on the fact that I’m gonna sleep at the hotel she’s staying – Peninsula Manila. Gosh, I haven’t stepped on this classy hotel ever. I think Manila Pen is the best hotel in Metro Manila that’s why I’m getting so excited hehehe.

Thank goodness my pizza craving is over. We at the office had 2 pizza deliveries this week. The first one was last Tuesday, Fars and I chipped in and used the Palm Card that I borrowed from Sherry. Then this afternoon, Ma’am Alice treated us hehehe. And lucky day, the delivery was late therefore we received 3 pizzas! Now I’ve had enough of mozzarella cheese hehehe…

By the way, I just want to share, I wore a Hawaiian shirt yesterday. It was the birthday gift of my former boss last year. I really don’t like floral design but I had nothing else to wear. Except for my office uniform, I wasn’t able to bring my dirty clothes to laundry shop, my cousin is getting annoyed at me already hehehe. Anyway, I was teased as a “child” of Lito Atienza (Mayor of Manila who’s always in floral polo shirt). But I actually liked it matched with my khaki shorts… I’m more androgynous than ever hahaha… I just wish I’d lose some weight *sigh* ah! I tried San Francisco Coffee this morning (used my card hehehe). Gaah! It’s more expensive than Starbucks… but less tastier *frown* but it’s located in the WiFi Zone of Rob Place so I guess it’s okay hehehe. WiFi at Starbucks is not free so…

Thursday, March 02, 2006

It’s Ash Wednesday. I’m thankful that I was able to hear the mass at the Hospital’s chapel. Look at my forehead! Whew, actually I’m really guilty that I have forgotten about it this morning and I have eaten meat for lunch… anyways, just a few minutes ago, Fars treated me to Starbucks. Coffee is best when it’s Starbucks… and it’s free hehehe… the moment we got our order, it suddenly rained… a hard rain… so we have no choice but to drink our coffee there (it was supposed to be “to go”) then just a very few minutes the we shook… earthquake hehehe… damn it was strong huh! Gosh, what’s happening… going back to rain, I’m thankful it rained because it’s so freaking hot already! I’m gonna have a good sleep tonight… and by the way, Ma’am Len is pregnant! Woah! So many babies for this year – Jona’s, Ate Cherie’s, Lynn’s and of course Ma’am Len’s… hehehe…

Wednesday, March 01, 2006

It’s the end of the month alright. So far, nothing special happened… except I lost my cellphone… I tried contacting Killua-chan… I got an indirect reply (probably)… the first time I’ve seen a live performance of a J-pop band… so far… no improvement. Anyway, Richard Paras, or Chichiri (as Sherry, Sri and I fondly call him) treated me to Starbucks today. He’s a school/batch mate and a fellow Metrobank Scholar. It’s his last day in MDH. He’ll be leaving for Singapore on March 11. He’s a registered nurse, but he took fashion design studies while working. It’s his real passion. Now he’s off to Singapore for further studies. I kinda envy him. He’s following his heart’s desire. Well I am, in a way, slowly taking the path of my dreams, but I’m slowly loosing motivation… so many factors involved… Haay, I’m sick. It’s this stupid runny nose again…

Tuesday, February 28, 2006

Damn! The bad thing of being unaware of political chaos happening in the country. I don’t watch TV and I don’t read newspaper… I was busy with my term papers and HXH manga last night… so I wasn’t aware that today’s classes were suspended… *sigh* I woke up so early even though I’m still sleepy… well, it’s a good thing already… I can rest earlier and I’ll be able to my term papers for submission tomorrow... I have a meeting to attend though in MDH this 1:00pm… *sigh*

I have a lot of things to tell… anyways, let me start, the night of February 24, when I went home (boarding house) from office. An annoying situation happened. The main door’s lock was broken. Therefore I can’t get in. Damn, while on the way, I conditioned myself that I’ll be fixing my stuffs for the concert… I would be munching mashed potato and stuffed crust pizza while reading Hunter X Hunter manga… everything seems perfect if not for that f*cking lock! For less than 30 minutes I tried opening the door… damn I was starving already! Then, I got really pissed already. I wouldn’t want to wait for more than 5 minutes for my housemates to arrive. It’s not the best idea to wait outside the house. So I decided to ask for help. I had no one to run to. Mike offered that I can stay in his place, but I don’t like the idea of staying overnight by myself at a guy’s house, otherwise I could ask Raymond or Jason, they’re just a few blocks away from my place anyway. So I called Sherry, I knew she’d be off that night too since her job’s night shift, but I had no choice. Besides, I don’t feel like “others” anymore at her home. Well to say, of all the friends I have, it’s only Sherry’s family who’s close to me. So it’s okay if I stay even if she’s not around. And I went there and I received the usual warm welcome from the family. Just a few minutes after I arrived, Sherry left the house, then her mom invited me to join in the happening in the neighbor. Sherry’s elder bro, Russel was there too so I joined for a while. Then I went back to their house and cleaned myself. Off to bed, I can finally continue reading HXH! Yay! Best part is, I’m gonna have a very goodnight sleep for having a clean, more spacious and air-conditioned room. But despite that, I still can’t get over my annoyance for being stuck outside the boarding house. I just hate it when my plans fail! Anyway, I’m still thankful that Sherry’s around…

Now came the most awaited day of the month. When Sherry arrived, She ordered a pizza for our lunch heheh.. Then she took a look at my laptop. She browsed thru its specs and she was really amazed hehehe. But I was more amazed when she explained me its WiFi capacity. I thought to myself, since when did she become so knowledgeable about computers hahaha. She configured it so it could automatically detect wireless connection in WiFi zones in the country. After we ate, I bid goodbye, of course with an arrangement that I’ll fetch her for the concert.

Then I went to the office, only to photocopy Kring’s (Sherry’s younger sis) campaign materials for their student council election at school. After that, my adventure began. My objective was to find the M-design Apparel shop. It specializes on wedding gowns, and it is where Lynn had our gowns seamed. Thanks to my lost phone I wasn’t able to come with her sisters for the final fitting last week. She can’t accompany either since she’s on bed rest. Well, good thing I didn’t had a hard time finding it. It took me no time in fitting the gown. I had nothing else to request. It’s for pick-up already, which Lynn would be responsible (thank goodness). After the fitting, I contacted Lynn. I was supposed to go to her place to pick up the wedding invitation, but she just asked Roy to meet me in Buendia to handover the invitation. Everything seems to be in favor of me now. As soon as I got the invitation, I went home. The lock was hopeless already that the Landlord instructed us not to lock the main door if we’ll be out. Good! I rested a little and fixed myself for the concert. I was so excited already.

This’d be the first time I’d be on a concert (at 23?! Tsk tsk). I went back to Sherry’s place this time I brought clothes. I knew that it’d be better that I stay there for the night, since we’ll surely be coming home late. Off we go to Shangri-la. We met up with Mike at Starbucks, then we proceed to the venue – Streetscape! I was expecting it to be an open atrium. It’s a concert event afterall. But to my disappointment, it was actually Shang’s version of Megastrip. Great huh. There were seats and tables and of course, food stalls, outdoor inns, to say. There was a small stage and seats were put across it. While the inns are located a little farther from the stage, it was where we situated. Mike was with Paolo and his friend Jill. Chris, Aish and the PJs were there too, but they were seated at the far end of the venue. In less than 1 hour, the show started. The first performer was Barbie Almabis followed by Kitchie Nadal. We ended up advancing to the stage and sitting in a slightly elevated platform at the back of the audience’s seats, at least we were able to see better the artists. Barbie looks really cute but Kitchie has definitely better style of music. Then the most awaited Core of Soul took over. They introduced themselves in tagalog (Ako si…). I just love it when Nihonjin tries to speak our language hehehe. I had forgotten their names already. I could only remember Keisuke, the Keyboardist. The guitarist looks really androgynous! He’s not bishounen though, but Sherry and I were arguing whether he was a male or female. He really looked girly to me hehehe. Anyways, he was really cool in playing guitar. The vocalist isn’t bad either. It’s just too bad that I really have no idea who they are or what their music is all about. I couldn’t fully appreciate them. But their music is definitely likeable. After 6-7, I think, songs, the band Hale took off the stage. By the way, there some questions and answer games for the fans in betweens. JFMO gave away some posters and CD/DVDs. I’d be honest, of all the local performers featured, it was only Hale that I looked forward in seeing if only to hear “The Day You Said Goodnight”… it reminds me of … Surprisingly, Sherry liked it too. Anyways, Hale sang 4 or 5 songs. Then all the featured artists collaborated for a final song. After the fusion, the show concluded with Core of Soul, singing the Japan-Philippines Friendship day theme song, “Purple Sky”. It was a great performance anyway. After the show, Sherry and I and Mike’s group went to Megastrip to eat. I was so disappointed that Teriyaki Boi was closed at that time already. We ate a Chinese ramen house instead. After the dinner, we called it a day.

Anyway, the good news is now that my laptop is configured for wireless connection, I can now connect to the internet in “hot spots” or WiFi zones! Cool! I’ve tried it yesterday at Robinson’s place… In fact I’m wifi connected now hehehe, and I’m really excited! All thanks to Sherry hehehe… now my assignment is, to look for other places with free WiFi connections hehehe…. This is so cool hehehe…

No matter how I put it, this country is hopeless… yesterday we’re okay. The next day you turn on the TV and you see some demonstration in the historic EDSA shrine. Oh please, how many times do we Filipinos have to see this scenario? This is really pathetic, I don’t give a damn, but hell I’m a Filipino, as much as I hated, I can’t do anything but be annoyed! Anyways, what’s really annoying is that it’s affecting the future events that I might be attending. Like , for Pete’s sake, I have a concert to attend tomorrow. The very first time that I’ll be in a concert, and it’s no ordinary band! Because it’s a J-pop band! Yes, real Nihonjin-tachi. Worse, the venue is Shangri-la Plaza, now where is it? It just happen to be one Train station away from EDSA shrine. Great huh? Now I’m afraid that Sherry would back out coming with me! Good heavens, why does this always happen to me?!

Anyway, I’m already at chapter 67 of Hunter X Hunter. Now I’m starting to appreciate more the manga version. There was never, as far as I could remember, a mention about the defense weapon of the Mafia group – the Injyuus! Yay, but disappointingly, they were far weaker than the Generyodan. Also, I’m so amazed at Miruki’s figurine collection. Haha, it was just a glimpse, but Miruki has Yusuke, Hiei, Kurama and even Sailormoon in his collection. Kawaii!!! I only have Yusuke in my collection *sigh*. And of course, like any other manga versus anime version, there was more room for character development. Senritsu, for one, her existence and objective for joining Nostrad’s group of bodyguard was explained. And I’m really loving it. All hail to Yoshihiro Togashi! Killua is so kawaiiiiiii!!!!

Hmmm, since I lost my cellphone already, for my regular (blog) visitors, Maui and Ikari, I hope to see you tomorrow at Shangri-la…

When it’s my lucky night, I dream of you… I’m sticking on this lucky charm thingie that I’ve seen in Hatsukoi… I even matched it with my shirt…

I got up so early. Jona asked me to bring her urine sample to the laboratory. *sigh* you just can’t say no to your pregnant cousin… I wanted to sleep more…

anyways, I’ve been craving for KFC’s mashed potato since Sunday! Where have all the mashed potatoes gone?! The third time I tried yesterday at Robinson’s Place, it’s still not available… also, I’m craving for Pizza Hut… I don’t care about the toppings! I just want the mozzarella stuffed edge of pizza! Yeah, I want it so badly, I’m already being tempted to use my card hehehe…

I’ve been reading the Hunter X Hunter manga, I’m already at chapter 55. It was the part that Gon and Killua are having their first Nen training at the Celestial Tower, under the care of Wing-sensei. And I’m enjoying it as much as I enjoyed the anime. So far, I haven’t spotted any difference yet, story wise. Well, I must’ve forgotten some details in anime.. I can’t wait to get to the Greed Island part… what makes it more interesting is the Mangaka notes! Yay! Now every Togashi fan knows that he is married to Naoko Takeuchi, the mangaka of Sailormoon (what a couple huh!). There were some parts that Togashi-sama would mention about Takeuchi-san, and I really find it interesting. Anyway, during the first popularity survey of HXH, guess who got the 1st place? Yep, no other than my dearest Killua-chan! Yay!!! With more than votes! The next was Kurapica followed by Gon, then Hisoka.

Updates, updates!

Okay, this is a late news already, but this is my blog so I just have to mention, I lost my phone last Feb. 16 (Thursday)… *sigh* I have been remarked stupid by my family, friends and colleagues already… yeah yeah, I admit… how stupid of me… left it at the cab… so stupid of me not to check… but anyway, it may take a long time before I get a new one. I have still so many bills to pay (credit cards)… and even if I got the cash, it’s not in my priority list… besides, I’m starting to get used to it already. Soshite… the only person I wanted to text has forgotten my existence anyway… I can still contact my friends thru landline or email anyway… so it’s not necessary to get one for now. Damn, I don’t give a shit about the unit, it’s a low-end phone anyway. What made me really feel bad is that I lost the SIM card… Huhuhu, it was the first and only SIM I had… ah I had a Sun Cellular given by a friend, it got lost too… but this Globe SIM… is really important to me… I had it since I was in 3rd year college…

Anyways, on other updates, a while ago, Gel came in the office for formal endorsement. It’s been a month since she went AWOL. Haha, you bet we missed her a lot. She had been my partner when it comes to making office more alive. Maybe one of the reasons that the work has become more boring and monotonous is because people who have contributed to the laughter in the office are leaving one by one… I should start to look somewhere to go too… this place is not worth staying.

I bought colorful band aids, Mediplast, I saw in the movie “Hatsukoi” that it’s a lucky charm if you put it in your ring finger. I bought 20 strips and I’m putting one till I ran out of stock, with a wish that… it’s just on me…

By the way, today was the start of the Document Awareness Training in MDH. We’re conducting this training every Wednesday, and we are 12 Systems Trainer to conduct the training. But my schedule is still months away, I just helped Ma’am Len, our lead trainer with the logistics.

Yesterday, our class went to UP Diliman, and watched a dance performance by the UP Filipiniana Dance Group. The name suggested already that most of the performance they did were ethnic and folk dances. However, in the later part, they did a series of interpretative dance to the tune of contemporary music. As I could remember, the songs were “No Matter What” by Boyzone, “Iris” (Googoo Dolls), “Hands To Heaven” (Breathless) and “I’ll Be” (Edwin McCain)… anyway, what made these numbers interesting is it was actually a tribute to the members of the 3rd sex. Haha, two men dancing together as partners is just freaking exciting! *yaoi mode* Anyway, after the performance, I went straight to Shangri-La, I was suppose to watch Eiga Sai but when I saw that the 8pm film is Hatsu Koi, I backed out. Why risk myself going home late over something I’ve seen already? I loved the film actually and I woudn’t mind seeing it again if only it was a little earlier. Anyway, my trip there wasn’t put to waste as there is an ongoing J-pop exhibit and Japan photography at 4th and 3rd floors respectively. Then I hanged out a little at the veranda in 6th floor. I just love hanging out there alone…

Happy Valentine!

Ahoy! It’s Valentine’s Day! The heart’s day… does that apply for broken hearts as well hehehe… I’m single and I don’t have someone to celebrate this special day, but it doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate it huh… Just to pay tribute, I wore a pink shirt… HOT PINK!

I didn’t go to school and work. At morning I accompanied my mom to an Ophthalmologist to have her right eye check. Damn, how come I do not know any Ophthalmologist in MDH?! I’m such a useless kid. Ma’am Ruth referred me to Dr. Canlas, unfortunately, she cancelled clinic today. Then the next one she referred is Dr. Mike Ngu. I went to his clinic and it’s open. So I brought there my mom and my sister. Then the secretary interviewed my mom. Then she asked my mom to enter Dr. Ngu’s room. I went along. A fat guy was there. So this fat doctor checked my mom’s eye and gave prescriptions. But when I looked at the Rx sheet, his siggie told me he’s not Dr. Ngu. It read M. Reyes… So when we came out from the room, I asked the secretary where is Dr. Ngu, then she said he’s out of town and told me that he’ll be back next week. Oh curse that f*cking med. sec! How dare her not inform me that the MD who’d checked my mom was just a reliever of Dr. Ngu! Not that I don’t trust Dr. M. Reyes, but it’s not fair that my mom and I were thinking it was Dr. Ngu we were talking to huh. Anyway, I decide that I’d complain about this… maybe to MSA… I’ll use my connection to Dr. Hogar… I felt like I’ve been tricked. But anyway, I’m relieved that my mom’s fine…

Now let’s talk how I spent my valentine… like I said, I didn’t go to work. I lied to my boss. I said I had to accompany my mom, but actually I was just going to meet Sri. It’s been ages since I’ve seen her and this the only time that she can see me. It’s so hard to book an appointment with her so I took this opportunity to meet her. Haay, thank goodness she finally realized her obligation. Almost a year ago, we had a bet and I won. And the price is a treat at Teriyaki Boi (hehehe it has to be Jap. Resto.). We ate lunch at Teriyaki Boi, Timog QC branch. Gosh, I just love Teriyaki boi, Tamago Sashimi is the best hehehe… the last time I ate there was April 4… *sigh* then after our lunch, we went to a bookstore nearby. The bookstore sells both brand new and second hand books but the place is so gloomy it reminded me of Meg Ryan’s book store in the movie “You’ve Got Mail”. Then we went to Starbucks nearby. Man, it was the largest, most spacious Starbucks I’ve ever been. It has a second floor, and I was surprise to see some conference-table-like there. Very conducive for students studying (minus the noise of course). I showed her momonja.. haha, all along she thought that this is a company property… hehehe, I was proud to proclaim that it’s a PERSONAL property! And still paying it hehehe… I showed her my pictures in my flash drive. When I learned that she had a 3G mobile phone already, I took the chance to take as many pics as I could hehehe… I insisted that we took a pic together. The very first shots weren’t amenable to her. She looked fat hehehe, but it’s only because her face was nearer in the cam. When I transferred the pics in my laptop, she insisted that I erase those pics. But I won’t! Every picture, good or spoiled, is worth a space and worth keeping… pictures are hard copies of memories aren’t they. Anyway, for her relief, I deleted those pics… but the recycle bin never pop in her mind hahaha!!!! So I restored it as soon as I got back to my place hehehe… I’m posting one on my blog. She wouldn’t know anyway, she doesn’t visit my blog eh! Hehehe, I’ll be doomed if she sees it nyahahaha!!!

Anyway, after we parted, I went to Greenbelt, I just don’t feel like going home yet. Besides, Mike requested if we could meet because he wanted to give something. Anyway, as soon as we saw each other, we went home. As his letter to me stated, he notices my sorrow. But more importantly, I’m thankful that he’s always there for me. Like I’ve said to him on my birthday, I’m still sad, but everything about this year is a lot better than last year. There’s a lot more to look forward this year…

Need a light!

Oh what day it has been. Since this morning I’ve been loaded with stressors already. Nothing serious though… haay to start with, I got home early morning already, around past 2:00 in the morning and I had to remind myself that my Saturday duty is 8:00 AM! I can’t be late, I’ve compromised to Weng that I’d lend her my Momonja for the seminar she’s facilitating (it’s on-going now). Simply put, I have to wake up early and that gives me only 3 and a half hours to sleep. Great. When I’m about to leave, Jona asked a favor, she wants me to pass some documents to SSS on Monday. I can’t say no since my school is near the said office. I just can’t say no to my pregnant cousin. But Monday is really one of the most toxic days for me, academically speaking. Okay I said yes *sigh*. Then I’m off to work. I got in early. I went straight to Weng’s office. Now the price for borrowing my laptop, a breakfast at Starbucks. Yay! I’m so excited already, it’s not everyday that you’d get a free breakfast at your favorite coffeehouse huh. Now I’m instructed to wait at my office, she’ll call me when she’s ready… off to my work station when my cellphone rang (SMS). It’s my cousin, Jona. Now what? Our padlock won’t open. It’s a combi-system lock. Now the number is replaceable. I bet she accidentally reset it. It’s a good thing that our old combi-lock is still around *sigh again*. Back at the office. Had my breakfast at Starbucks alright. Whew, everything about it just feels good… so good… and now the seminar, I brought Momonja at the function hall of MDH. The LCD was set-up, I turned on Momonja, put on the LCD connector and walah, the desktop won’t display! I had an FMD staff with me. Damn, I was looking for Jeff! Where is Jeff? He’s the one who specialize in such problems, but lo and behold it’s his off. Great. I asked Weng to call an IT staff. Alas! it's Mr. "there is no Hard disk"came up! Now where is the veteran? Oh man, the people you need are not around. I don’t trust Mr.... He got in the IT office because of his connection to an influential doctor… He’s not really good with computer. He’s not even an IT graduate. Okay, I can see that he had no idea how to troubleshoot. Damn, it took us 10 years to figure out the problem. Well, it turned out that my PC slowly detected the new hardware connected. If it was Jeff who was there I wouldn’t even need to call the IT. Okay I’m going down… back to my office… my usual habit when walking, put my hands in my pocket and there goes another problem. My office keys! Now I was sure I put them in my pocket. Not! I remembered that I opened our steel cabinet and I left the keys in the lock. Oh what a great day it is, thought to myself. I went down anyway and called an FMD staff again. After 10 years of waiting, a blue boy came (FMD Staff). Hey where’s his x-ray film? Yup they use x-ray film for this situation. And yes, the QM office’ keys have no duplicate under the care of the Central Service or Security Service. We are actually supposed to surrender a duplicate for instances like this. But we at QM are bunch of hard-headed employees, that we are not even aware of such protocol. And we are the “QUALITY” Management office huh? Now back to the blue boy, I wonder where he went because he got back with a broken x-ray film. And again, it took us another 10 years, when he decided to break the clutch. Haay, why did I ended-up with such incompetent staff? This scenario happened to me when I was still in HR but the FMD staff who helped me did it in very few minutes… but most importantly, these misfortunes… are liable to… me… yeah, I’m stupidest person around (just now ok). Lesson no. 1 – never buy something unless you’re a master of using it. More so, never compromise it to something you’re not even sure if it’d work… I should’ve ask Weng to test the laptop prior to the seminar. Good thing that Mrs. Vinuya (the speaker, our Chief Dietitian) had so much more to discuss that didn’t need visual aid. I have to start learning the hardware aspect of computer (geez, I hope I do have the time). Lesson no. 2 – never leave the office without your keys with you! Oh when will I ever learn… I admit that I do have problem with my short-term memory… Lesson no. 3, inform you’re room mate the specs of anything you bought for the room that she’d eventually be using… lesson no. 4, there’s nothing wrong with following the company policies, is there? Hehehe…. Oh well, we all learn from our mistakes don’t we?

Anyways... after work I decided to drop by at Feata Bookstore. It has a different name, I forgot though. I had to pick up my 200 worth of gift, any item I want. I also wanted to update my manga (hard copies) collection for so long, especially Ruroken. Mission partially accomplished hehehe… why, I wanted at least 4 tankoubon, but I only got 2. The other tankoubons available, I have acquired before already. Hmmm, I still have to wait for their next shipment. In addition, got myself Tokyo Babylon vol. 7 and XXX Holic vol. 6. Yay! Thanks to these stuffs I have totally forgotten all the misfortunes I encountered this morning hehehe…

KiD at 23...

Okay, it was my 23rd birthday yesterday! In the end my wish didn’t come true. I just wanted a greeting from… Guess I’m totally forgotten huh… Anyway, as I have told Mike last night, I’m still not happy but this is a lot better than last year. He came, and brought us 2 Yellow Cab pizza… thanks to him, I had a birthday celebration. Lee and Nagi came too. We went to Starbucks after my duty. I treated them this time using my credit card *sigh* as much as I want to avoid using it… anyways, we had a chit chat till 11:30 PM I think… Mike gave me bunch of stuffs. This man really wants to make me smile (“,x). He gave me a Totoro stuff toy, 9x12 Canson Sketchpad, “Black Lotus” by Laura Joh Rowland, a sketch of me (again hehehe) inspired from the Animax marathon, and a mini CD wherein he put his dedication in Flash format. Cool huh. Sometimes I feel bad that I can never return the favor he’s doing for me... I told him a million times already. But he has become one of my FEW trusted friends… anyway, I’d like to thank also these people who greeted me yesterday (thru text): Ivy, Richard, Kara, Argiel, Colleen, Cheska, May, Aish, Nagi, Lee, Jeff, Butchoy, Mariel, Sri, Lynn, Rose, Ma’am She, Jason, Mike Fajardo, Mike Felix (sheez, too many Mike!), Sherry, Doraemon, and Glaiza.… and of course people at the office. Nagi gave me an Astroboy stationery, sweet huh (“,x)

Office news! Ma’am Glenda is leaving MDH. She’ll be here until this Friday only. So saddening huh? Everyone’s leaving. Also, Mabel’s last day was last Sunday (Feb. 5). She’s leaving for Kuwait… so that leaves 11 Docs Team members. Huhuhu… I’m gonna miss them… So much for bad news, Have I mentioned that I passed the IQA Training last week? Just before I went to the Animax 24-hr Anime Marathon challenge, passers were announced! To my surprise, I even ranked third! Way to go huh? I audited, together with our Chief Security Officer, Mr. Bong Ramos, 7F (yesterday) and 8F (today) Nurse Stations. Hohum, maybe it’s not for me, I find it boring to study their systems… but I’ve been inquisitive I believe, but some Nursing Practice issues are still vague to me. Tomorrow we’ll be auditing Wing C station *sigh*…

More good news (really?) Miyazaki’s “Howl’s Moving Castle” is again nominated at Oscars for Best Animated Feature! Yay! It’ll be competing with Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride” and “Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of Were Rabbit”. I haven’t seen the two competitors, but I’m very confident that Howl’s has a good chance of winning. Wanna bet? Hehehe… Gosh, I’m hearing “4 Seasons of Loneliness” again. Valentines day is coming and I’m still… haay.. next topic pls. I’ve finally seen FMA movie and I was surprised and glad to know that L`Arc~en~ciel songs were used as opening and ending theme! By the way, I watched it the next day after the 24-hour marathon! Now I know that I can actually watch anime 24 hours straight and watch more the next day! That makes me a certified anime addict huh. The movie was good really, I’m not mentioning the details, I don’t want to be a spoiler, but I highly recommend it!

Anyway, check those screen caps of my birthday celebration. I forced them (officemates and friends) to sing me happy birthday hehehe. Just so I could blow a candle and make a wish hehehe... but my wish didn't come true ='(

I'm a Survivor!!!

See those pictures? The images of a no-sleep KiD... Insomiac hahaha. I survived the 24-hr Anime marathon yeah! I didn’t blink for more than 3 seconds, now beat that! I didn’t win though =’(… We were 20+ survivors and I got eliminated in the quiz bee… damn, the first question was about the very first anime they showed that I didn’t like and therefore I didn’t pay much attention. My answers were actually correct, but it was wrongly spelled, therefore… *sigh* I thought I could celebrate my birthday…I promised my colleagues I’d treat them on my birthday if I win… oh it’s meant to be… part of me regretted joining because I sacrificed 1 privileged leave at work, a required field trip at school and of my health. But part of me really enjoyed. For one thing, this kind of event happens once in a blue moon. I proved to myself that I can really endure more than 24 hours of wakefulness hehehe. I wake up last Friday at 6:00 AM, I got home last night at 10:00 PM, I slept at 10:30 PM, that makes me awake for 40 hours and 30 minutes! It includes my 9 hours at the office. Today I got up at 8:30 AM. I felt like there are still so many things to be done, like updating my blog, doing 5 (read that, FIVE!) reaction paper for my History of Arts class to be submitted tomorrow, watching FMA movie… but now I feel sleepy again hehehe... going back to the perks of joining the marathon, I had the opportunity to watch the series that I wanted to watch, but I can’t because I have no time. They showed Teeny Weeny Witches, Conan Meiantei, Tokyo Godfathers, Yuyu Hakusho (felt nostalgic again hehehe), Count of Monte Cristo, Ran the Samurai Girl (loved this anime!), Emma: A Victorian Romance (liked this), Initial D: 4th Stage, Gun Slinger Girl (interesting), Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and I forgot the title of this anime which was based in the Onmyouji 2 movie (or the other way around). Meeting people of the same interest, I didn’t get their name and contact number though. And, well, I got Animax giveaways (Animax notebook, plushies, Initial D sticker, Initial D poster, gundam model kits). And of course, being one of those survivors is a noble fulfillment hehehe. My friend Mike and co-staff Neil joined too, unfortunately they didn’t survive, which only proves that women are stronger than men hahaha! The 3 winners are all women! I had some violent reactions about the competition though, I believe Animax should revise some rules and mechanics if they plan to conduct this kind of competition again in the future. First, during registration, they confirmed so many contestants but they should’ve declared in the web site or in the email that they’d only be accommodating 100 contestant. Thus, first come first serve on site registration applies. During the on-site registration, significant number of fans protested because they can’t get in. When registration period was about to conclude, they suddenly declared that those with PRINTED email confirmation will be allowed to enter the ring. Mike and I didn’t have it but we got through the crowd because we said we were called already (but not really hehehe). Then, during the competition itself, some, most rather, marshals are not very observant. I’m at the back but I can see some participants were drooping and I firmly believe these contestants have somehow closed their eyes for 3 seconds already. While there were those who rubbed their eyes. Damn, common sense thinking, when you rub your eyes, it’s as good as closing it right?! Anyway, I should thank those incompetent marshals a little. Observing their stupidity made me awake. Woohoo, I’m turning critic again hehehe. I also have to take note of Initial D’s dubbing. Damn, it was so controversial that I’m aware of it, prior to the airing of the show in TV. Anyway, to the Animax people, please, the fact that all their shows are English dubbed made fans (like me) disappointed already. Can they just stick with professional dubbers instead. But thanks to it, I was kept awake again every time I’d hear Takumi speak bwahahaha, it’s so f*cking funny! Well, Mateo has this “konyo” accent, damn does Takumi look like anything like it? Oh please! Oh darn I just remembered that I have a reunion to attend! And it's my dear friend, Sri's birthday, oh no I completely forgot!!!

Hey it's February! Valentine's Day is nearly coming... and i'm still... single hehehe... for that reason, i have never felt the speciality of that day in my whole damn life hahaha. Anyways, if i'll have okane I'll buy my male friends chocolates. I've been planning to do this for more than two years already because it is the practice in Japan... I hope i could push through with it this year...

I'm having IQA training from Monday til this coming Friday. Whoopee! Something to add to my resume hehehe... Tomorrow will be our exam and i'm crossing my fingers that i'd pass. I hope to join our incoming 2nd Internal Quality Audit. But i don't think i'll have the time to review, I feel so sleepy. I had this insomia attacks again, last Monday and Yesterday. I barely have 2 hours of sleep and no it's not because of my laptop. Blame it on Starbucks' white choco mocha hehehe...anyways, this insomia attack inspired me to write a poem... something very timely since valentine's day is 13 days ahead... I just want to share... Read on...

The Poltergeist3:56 AM

Sleepless nights
Eerie silence
Cold breeze
Restless thoughts…

Your smile
Your smell
Your voice
Your tears
Your call
Your touch
Your hug
Your kiss…

Haunts me
Hurts me
Devours me
Kills me

I wish the poltergeist would read this...

Kung Hei Fat Choi! Yesterday I had the Meitatntei Conan DVD replaced because it had no English subtitles. I chose a “Do As Infinity” live in USA video. In addition I got a DVD copy of Gohatto. Yay. I checked it out already, and the quality is way better than my VCD copy. Lately I’ve been very bored with my life…I’ve mentioned this already….
My Chinese horoscope tells that it’ll be a good a year for me, (I’m a Pig) and I’m really hoping it would. But till now, I’m still in a slump… I’m longing for a big change but not crisis, challenge but not problems. I’m turning 23 next month and I still haven’t made a difference. I’m starting to hate birthdays now (mine). Me and my grade school batch mates are suppose to have a reunion on Feb. 5, but a couple of days ago, Ronald Catolos informed me that the reunion was moved on the 28th (yesterday) but when I coincidentally run into Carol (another batchmate), she said she was just informed that the original date would push through. Now I don’t know what to believe. Either way, I’m not really interested. I might go if I’d be free. Sure I’m curious to see them, but I’m not really excited since I don’t really have any special or remarkable memory with grade schoolers of my time. All the good things about my childhood happened in our home. I’m a loner after all hehehe…

Damn, it’s getting hot already! I’m gonna miss my laptop. I’m leaving it here in the province. Well, I have to keep myself focused. So many things I have to do that I have neglected because I’m too pre-occupied with my elegant “persocon” hehehe. I’ll name it Momonja from now on.

This morning I was watching “Ashura”. It’s a Japanese film set (I’m not sure) in Heian period. It’s about a demon slayer Izumo turned into a Kabuki actor. I’m not going into details, anyway I didn’t find this film breath taking. The thing is, there was this ONE bed scene and my mom happened to enter the room when the scene started, and so she thought I’m watching an x-rated film! Man, old people are judgmental huh. Anyway, I bought the film because the lead actress is Rie Miyazawa. I first saw her in “Twilight Samurai” and I really find her pretty. Oh I’m savoring this moments with Momonja… In a few hours I’ll be going to church then off to Manila I go.

Yay! It’s payday! I’ll be paying the very first Statement of Account of my dad’s credit card that includes the bill of my laptop hahaha! Birthday alerts, it’s Minoru Kokunbunji, from Chobits, Reiji Matsumoto, creator of Galaxy Express, Space Battle Yamato, and and Captain Harlock, and Nozomu Sasaki, seiyuu of Yusuke Urameshi, Yukishiro Enishi, and Nagi Noe. Hey, my birthday is 13 days ahead huh? So what am I planning? Nothing, I’m sure I’d be broke by that time. I just wish I’d be able to add some RK manga so I could fulfill my obligation to Kenshin. Damn, I’ve been trying to complete the whole set for almost 6 years already! I can still remember the very first manga I bought was volume 14, Taiwanese version. Up to date, I still have 9 more volumes to obtain. I have to blame my incapacity to prioritize pending wishlists hehehe. Anyways, I may not be able to celebrate my birthday as I’d want to but there are bunch of activities lined up for next month, enough to keep me occupied, and hopefully, forget… I just heard from a friend and read it in the Sunday newspaper that Animax will be holding a 24-hour anime marathon challenge in Glorietta on February 3-4. The winner will be taking home US$500! Hmmm, I’ll take the chance, maybe I could win. The rules are pretty tough though, just a blink for 3 sec. and you’re out hehehe. Tough huh? I don’t know, but it’s a good chance to test my stamina. And then, the 3rd and 4th week of February is a series of J-pop event at the Shangri-La, organized by Japan Foundation Manila Office. Eiga Sai featuring J-teens are on the line on February 15-21. While the first ever J-pop concert (as far as I know) to be held here in the Philippines on February 25. Core of Soul will be coming and they’ll be performing together with Kitchie Nadal, Barbie Almalbis and Hale. Now I’m getting excited about this. The good thing about it is that they are all FREE!!! Moving on to other topics, last Monday, I bought DVDs! I just have to stress out, I noticed nowadays, I found myself slowly regaining my interest in English movies and Non-Jap. stuffs. Slowly okay. I bought a Cranberries’ “Beneath the Skin” concert in Paris and a movie “Out of Paris” starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford hehehe.

It’s not a very good day. I lost my voice since yesterday. Well, okay there was a teeny weeny left. I had my VL yesterday and I was supposed to have a good time. But I’m not feeling well. Up to now I haven’t regain my voice. Damn, I’m close to being mute. I never really thought how important one’s voice in daily living. Taking orders at fast foods, giving my transpo fare and stating my destination, telling the driver to stop when I get there, greeting back the security guards of the hospital, buying something from the store and of course there are these phone calls from friends afar that I have to accommodate. Well, it may not seem to, but these are all essential to me. Yesterday also, I consulted Dr. Arojado, one of our IMSD consultants, and also a friend. I used to borrow videos from him. He likes Asian dramas and some of are Japanese, whenever I have the time to watch, I’d ask him to lend me his videos. But that was before, I don’t have much time to watch now. Anyway, going back to my consultation, he said it’s pharyngitis (I’m not sure of the spelling). He prescribed me tons of medicine hehehe. Anyway, that’s not the real story, while checking me up, he keeps on convincing me to stop with my vices. He’s absolutely in protest of my habits hehehe. Also, he’s trying to counsel me. He said that my behavior and demeanor (damn he observes me!) are somewhat unconventional. He’s asking if I’m lacking something or if there’s something that I am not happy of. He’s thinking that it has something to do with my family. You bet I’m not satisfied with my life but it has nothing to do with my family…

I was actually planning to teach my dad to use computer as I promised him, but I don’t think I could do it tomorrow with the state of my throat now. Hopefully things would be better when I wake up. I bought DVDs! Memoirs of A Geisha and a SMAP concert. Hmmm, I’m not really a SMAP fan, or any boy band, but I find Takuya Kimura rather attractive. Besides, he voiced Howl. He’s the bad boy of SMAP and I really like him. Anyways, I haven’t seen the 3-disc video. Now let’s talk about Memoirs of A Geisha. The very first time I heard that this book will have a movie adaptation, I was very excited. But when I learned that the cast would be Chinese, I was disappointed. But then again, Ken Watanabe was there, besides, the stars are those from the hit movie “Crouching Tiger” hmmm, fair enough. And the dialogue is English, when I was buying it I’m confused whether it was Chinese or Japanese. On to the movie, everything seemed to be fast forwarded. A common dilemma among fans of a long manga series when their favorite manga was turned, or rather condensed, into a 2 hour length film. Of course you can’t expect every element that made the book such a hit present in the movie as well. Some of the vital parts (at least for me) were not there. I was disappointed that the part of a famous artist was deleted. And I was looking forward seeing Sayuri’s peasant lover when she deployed in Osaka, her General husband…and the surprising meeting with the Chairman, (the danna proposal scene)… and one thing, it was FIRMLY stressed in the book, of Sayuri’s unusual bluish eyes… or was I just not listening well… but after all this film is about “memoirs” of a geisha, at least the part of becoming a geisha, though very short is enough. In the end, I am satisfied with the film, though I would highly recommend to read the book to fully appreciate the story. Now this is turning to be a review huh, going back to me, I just tried the gown that I would be wearing on Lynn’s wedding. My, I really have gained weight! I need to loose up!!!

I just finished browsing Manila Bulletin… looking for a new job. I never realized how hard it is to look for a “good” job till now. It’s getting more boring in the office plus the “big” people demoralize me a great deal. My special time of duty because of studies seems to be a never-ending issue… Those pathetic managers are not worth a fight. I’m still young and there are more opportunities for me. Huh, but I’m not leaving until I get a new job with better compensation. I have so many bills to pay for the next months.

Early this morning, I jogged at the Dike (Baywalk version of Tanay). Lately I never got the chance to stroll at Baywalk because I hardly wake up early. Damn, this mobile PC is eating up my sleeping time hehehe… anyways, the walk took me no more than 10 minutes, it was just like walking along UN Avenue from Taft to Roxas Blvd. My, living in Manila made me realize how small my hometown is. I remember when I was young it was hard to convince our parents to take us there because it seemed so far from our home… but now it seems just within my grasp. Hmmm, exaggerated! Compared to Baywalk, Dike is a lot smaller. Instead of ships, you’ll see fishermen’s boats, which reminded me of sceneries from “Snow Falling on Cedars”. Instead of restaurants/bars, there were only mini-food stalls selling breakfast meal, I don’t know if the stalls exist throughout the day to serve appropriate meals. There is significantly less smog in Dike than Baywalk. And the Taho vendors, I spotted only one here, but it sells 50% less than those in Baywalk. But just the same, these two seaside spots have sentimental meaning for me…

Today is my parent’s 28th Wedding anniversary! Kanpai to Momonji and Fofodsie (hehehe, I call them like that)! I’m very thankful that I never really encountered even just a bit of becoming one of those children who came from a broken family. I’m not saying that we are a perfect family. We do have internal mishaps that sometimes even I cannot stand, but they are usually misunderstanding among my siblings. I can never blame my parents on our own course of actions, because from my deepest awareness, we were reared aptly. We were neither spoiled nor mistreated. We are rewarded for good deeds and punished for bad actions/habit. Though I know how hard-headed and egoistic my siblings and I are, I can never attribute it on how my parents have handled us. Hey, I’m a psychology graduate, and I’m confident that my notions are correct. And my parents, I must say, are perfect example of how couples should be. I mean, they are still sweet to one another through the years. My mom is a year older than my dad. I wouldn’t believe that they never argue, but I really have never seen them fight seriously. My mom is strict while my dad is lenient, more often than not, he would concede with my mom’s argument. My mom is really lucky that she ended up with someone so generous. Well, my dad is lucky too, he ended up with a very gorgeous lady hahaha. And they are faithful to one another. Anyways, I’m alone in the office again, and I just greeted them (via phone) Happy Anniversary. They’ll be going out to celebrate. To Monji and Fodsie, I’m so proud of you and I love you so much! *muahhhuggs* (“,x)

NOTE: my parent's pic in their early 40's hehehe... sweet...

A Moment at Starbucks

My favorite coffee house… usually after work, it is where I rest my tired body and soothe my lonely soul. Tonight after work, I went there with my colleague, Fars. Much as I want to be alone, it’s not good to think selfishly. I ordered a Venti hot white chocolate mocha, I requested to reduce the white chocolate content to 3 ½ cup to lessen the sweetness. A hot sip, a smooth puff and that jazzy music is all I need to temporary escape my worries over bills, plates, and depression. I’m not into jazz music but it works well in coffee houses. Plus the presence of foreigners (westerners and Asians), salarymen, students, doctors, and even just plain “socialites”…animated objects which seems full of ideals and sensibility… just chatting, reading, smoking, sipping, eating… welcome to the world of “stressed” individuals all gathered to release tension. If only to set aside those anxieties I have, perhaps I may consider working as a Barrista in Starbucks hahaha! More often than not, I’d go there alone and stay for more than an hour. Off with my last sip and I’m going back to the realm of poignant reality *sigh*…

A Look at the Year 2005

One and a half hour to go and it’s the end of the year. The moment I’m doing this my nephew is watching the special yearend report of ABS-CBN. I just got home. I slept at my cousin’s house in Marikina. Also, while doing this, random BANG and BOOMS irritate my ear. Why, I really shouldn’t be irritated as it is a normal thing that happens in a year. While waiting for the opening of the year 2006, I’m pondering on the things that happened to me this year. As NASA quoted 2005 as the stormiest year for the past Nth year (I can’t remember), this year for me was probably was the most number significant events. The year where most unexpected occurrences took place. My busiest year ever (to date). Most productive and most spendthrift (for me)…well let’s have a wrap up…

Starting with work/career related issues. I got transferred from the President’s office as an Executive Assistant to Human Resource Division as an HR Staff for Recruitment. Admittedly, some perks as an Executive Assistant were gone, I lost a favorable charm from some members of the Senior Management, but I never regret my decision to transfer. It was only then that I felt having a purpose in the organization. I was able to recruit a batch of Staff Nurses and some of the position lacking. It was a really good performance for someone new in that field. But this year was also I decided to pursue Fine Arts studies. When I finally got the opportunity, I realized that I had to give up my position in HRD. It was really hard for me because for a very short time, I have learned to love my job, something I never did at the President’s Office for more than a year of my stay. But, this Fines Arts thing is a part of my dream and a step to go to Japan. And this Japan dream is my number one motivating force in world of professionals. I was ready to leave Manila Doctors. I decided to leave HR, but fortunately (I think it’s fate) The QM had one of its staff resigned unexpectedly, which initiated a possibility of placement for me. Which eventually I got in. Looking back, I still long for the fun that I had experienced as a recruitment specialist. But I also had fun as a QM Staff. I met a lot of people, particularly doctors. And the best part, despite the never-ending feud of the current and former QM Head, and the countless criticism and hindrances, we got the ISO certificate, simply put, the project was successful. And of course, as I have mentioned, I took a second course, Fine Arts. Going to school again wasn’t so easy, managing my time was really a challenge. And the sad part about it is that I had to sacrifice going home to the province and seeing my family. I also got isolated from my friends. But definitely I learned something and is still learning. Right now, I still couldn’t call myself a real artist, but with perseverance, I can be, if not good, a professional.

So much about my career moves, talk about family. A lot of members joined the Heavens, mostly the oldies. My grandmother passed away, just a few days after Pope John Paul II. It was one of the saddest event, but at the same time, we, the Alvarez clan were also happy that her sufferings have come to an end and she finally joined her most beloved, our Grandfather, and of course, God. Also, Cha-ibang, my grandma’s auntie and my cousin’s so-called mother in-law. I didn’t get to attend the internment of these old ladies because of my very busy schedule, but from the bottom of my heart, I prayed for their peaceful journey to the eternal life. If there are sad news, there are also good. This year, my dear cousin Jona got married. And next year, a new and lucky member of the Alvarez clan will be born. She’s 4 months pregnant now.

Now let’s get personal. Starting with my favorite hobby, anime, this is the year that I least watched new anime series/movies, again, all debited to my busy schedule. But, I made sure I attended major anime events and if possible, I join the Cosplay. This year, I cosplayed 3 different characters. Anime Explosion 2005 last February, I wore the Soujiro Seta costume for the 2nd time. 4th Toycon last June, I was Seguchi Tohma. I even had my hair blonde, which became very sensational both in school and office. I think it was the start of my very “pasaway” days. Though it only lasted for barely 2 weeks, I made sure I got a lot of souvenirs. I took as much pic as possible. And of course, the recent Hanep Hataw Hero con, I wore the ready-made Sasuke Uchiha costume, though it was still incomplete. I still have one more character to cosplay for this year, but I changed plans because of my unstoppable increase in weight. I still plan to cosplay for the next event and hopefully, I’d lessen my weight by that time. I’m sure this year was also remarkable for Chris and Aish, for last UP-AME event last November, they won 3rd place in the cosplay competition. They cosplayed the Loveless couple Ritsuka and Soubi. This year, I also got hooked with books. It originated when I was looking for a birthday gift for a very special person last June, but as I browsed through various bookstores, I found some titles interesting, and it was the start of my book hunting habits. Right now, I’m fascinated with the novels of Laura Joh Rowland, in fact, I’m currently reading her first book “Shinju” while I am happy to receive her latest novel “Perfume in the Sleeve” in our recent Christmas party. Videos, I didn’t acquire much, but I’m satisfied that I was able to have and watch Full Metal Alchemist, Tsubasa Chronicles, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, and the Otaku No Video. Toys, I’m glad that slowly, I’m completinng my toys wishlist. All thanks to this Christmas Sale, some RK figures have slashed prices by 50%. Though I never got to see those first ever Kenshin figures, I’m still crossing fingers that I’d still find one in the future. And of course, I finally got a laptop.

There are still so many things that happened that I lost count of them already... Ans some things are better kept secret, so i guess this would be all.

Right now, it’s 1:08 AM in my PC. Which means it’s already 2006. I don’t know what awaits me. But I hope that everything would be alright, for me, my family, friends…. And for YOU… HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Friday, December 30, 2005

Yay! It’s the last working day of the year! I walked early this morning at Baywalk again. Have to start my weight reducing intervention again. I also had my haircut today, and it feels really light… that’s better now.

I was surprised when Jason called me this morning asking if I’m in the office. He went here just to give his Christmas gift for me. Awww, I was so touched. I thought he had removed my name on his “list” already. It has also been a while since we’ve seen each other… anyway he gave me a set of Naruto key chains.

Tomorrow I’ll be seeing Sherry and Sri, we’ll probably just eat and talk… I missed them a lot. The last time we’ve been together was more than a year. They both have “koibitos” already and I’m being left out *sigh*. But I’m getting excited to see them already, especially Sri, since I see her more rarely than Sherry.

I feel bad that I don’t have any Christmas gift for my friends, especially those who gave me something… as much as I want to give, I’m broke and it’s also almost impossible to see them at once. 2 days to go and it’s another year. I hope this coming year would be a charming one for me…

Last December 27 was our Christmas party, I was one of the Emcee together with Gel and Dr. Hogar. I wore my favorite costume, Soujiro, minus the white polo. Instead, I sported a black shirt. The party was supposed to be "costume themed" but my colleagues are so hard-headed that i was the only one in costume. Oh never mind, I was happy to wear my Souji costume anyway. The party was really a blast. We all had fun, and we laughed all through out the event hehehe. It turned out to be a comedy bar... I'll post pictures soon. For the meantime, enjoy the last glimpse of KiD for this year (",x)

Christmas Aftermath

Christmas DAY is over. In the end my wish didn’t come true… can’t deny the fact that I’m sad, though I’m really trying to “celebrate” this special day… it used to be my favorite day of the year… but things have changed since I became an adult. It seems that this day is like any ordinary day that I’d spend. Except for the food, children coming in and out of the house to ask for “pamasko”… specially now that my grandmother’s gone… it feels so different. My cousins usually go here in the house first thing in the morning… but this year, they came in late afternoon and stayed for a very short time only. When I was still a kid, this day is something to look forward that I’d have lot’s of money, but now, this is the day that I’m gonna lose money (for a good cause that is). When I was a kid, I’m happy for no reason at all… now, there are so many things that I should be happy, but I can’t… Anyway, I spent the whole day eating, sleeping, watching anime and surfing the net. I went to church with my parents at 6:30 in the evening. I ate a lot… can’t help it when there are so many food at your dining table… Hah, Oliver was pissing me just now. He wants to surf the net, but I’m using it. Don’t you just hate it when somebody spoils the only moment you could cry-out all your sighs. Going back, I watched “Spirited Away” again. Though I’ve seen it so many times, it still moves me the way it did when I first saw it. I also have to commend Joe Hisaishi’s music.. it’s so… powerful. By the way, Ghibli’s next film would be directed by Hayao Miyazaki's son, Goro Miyazaki, the story is based on an American book "A Wizard of Earthsea" by Ursula Le Guin. Geez, all this time, I thought Miyazaki is single hehehe… It’ll be shown in July 2006… so Ghibli fans out there have something to look forward to. And, I’m anticipating a different flavor but equally astonishing film from Miyazaki’s son huh. Back to my Christmas, nothing remarkable happened... I'm just glad that at least my family is complete... I'm broke ='(

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Okay, 23 minutes to go and it’s Christmas. Kurismasu Omedetou minna-san!!! I’m home and I’m glad that I made it safe here. Every night that I’d go home from work carrying this laptop, I’ve been very anxious and at the same time paranoid that I’d get hold-up. I was actually planning to come home earlier but my boss reminded me that Dec. 24 was not declared as holiday, Saturday is my regular duty, therefore I had to come to work. I didn’t stay till 5pm though, I went out at 2:00 and went to Ayala Center to fetch my brother so we’ll travel home together. Mike was with me again from morning. He accompanied me all the way from Quiapo (to buy DVDs) to Ayala Center until we finally went home. Hmmm, I promised that I’d stop spending for my hobbies and using credit card, but I just can’t help it whenever I’d browse a toy store, it’s so hard to resist my “id” when I see a toy I want, specially if I’ve been looking for it for a long time already *sigh* here I go I again, I just hate me… Anyways, I was surprised to see old RK figures at Toy Town, Glorietta. I’m talking about the very first RK figures. The first installment was the Kenshingumi minus Yahiko, Officer Fujita taking over his place instead. While the second installment were the relevant Tsuioku Hen characters (Battousai, Saito, Okita, and Tomoe) Though, I was hopeless to see a Kenshin figure, I can’t resist to include the two ladies in Kenshin’s life in my collection. So there… I rarely collect female chara figures, but they’re RK chara… Anyways, let’s go back to Christmas topics (gosh I just love talking about my toys hehehe)… if I’m not mistaken, for the past 3 Christmas, I’d always come home at night of 24th… Hmmm, I realized it’s better for me that way because I’d hate to help with all the house work hehehe, I’m bad. But I’m tired already, Minus the 3 hours stay at my office, I walked the whole day. Hmmm, what did I get for Christmas? Astroboy toy from Lynn, Peninsula Manila’s Pastries from Lyn’s Sister, MDC Planner from Ma’am Winnie, Thai Mask key chain from Ma’am Minda, Foot scrub and lotion from Ma’am She, Merlion Nail cutter from ma’am Glenda, and the P1000 gift Check from MDH top management… much lesser than last year, but not bad, and of course, Soujiro figure from Kid, Enishi figure from Kid, Kenji Figure from Kid, Kaoru and Tomoe figure from Kid, X manga from Kid, Starbucks tumbler from… guess who… Kid (“,x)… and the greatest gift so far… an ASUS laptop from no other than *drumroll* Kid!!! Yay… but honestly, I’m not that happy… all I want for Christmas for me… only this person can give… MERRY CHRISTMAS again everyone (“,x)

Monday, December 19, 2005

It’s 8:09 in the evening, I’m home and I just got back from the church. I was late again damn. Today is the Otaku Zine fest and our Alumni Homecoming at MDC. I didn’t attend any. Instead, I stayed here the whole day and watched Anime videos. Now I’m starting to get back my previous otaku life hahaha. It’s not good when I stay home the whole day, I’m a BIG couch potato hehehe. Anyways, I finally saw Gainax’ “Otaku No Video”. I thought it was a movie but it was actually a 2-shot OVA. The story revolves around Kubo, an average Highschooler, whose Otaku instinct instigated when he met a long time otaku Tanaka. Basically the video speaks the unusual life of an otaku. In between each chapter are live interviews with real life otaku. I really enjoyed this video though I felt that the story is a little exaggerated, it’s still a fiction after all. Hmmm, from what I’ve seen, "Real 0takus" aren’t so bad. I mean, they are often described as having no social functions. But I was stunned to find out that majority of the subjects interviewed are employed. I was a little struck when the first Otaku interviewed was asked whether he has real friends. It took him time to answer. He even sarcastically replied “how dare you ask me something like that” in the end, he wasn’t sure either… Instead he said, during his Highschool, in the club he joined (an SF Club), he had the time of his life. He barely have communication with his club buddies but he seems satisfied with his experience. Somehow it made me think do I really have “true friends”… somehow I felt like I’m being in the same shoes as he is. But No, I’m a lot different… I know, definitely, I have real friends, although I can’t feel them at this point in time. Everybody is busy to listen to my sighs, besides, I myself would hold back to open up… But I know, if the time comes that I’d need a hand, somebody would definitely extend his/hers… I am happy for all the excitement and enthusiasm my otakuness had given me, although sometimes, I feel like having no social function at all. Up to now, it still doesn't occur to me that I should be able to do something, in my own little way, for the society... Also, in the various interviews, it seems that most male otakus are still virgin hahaha… it’s rare nowadays for a 20+ male to be “pure”… but these otakus are contented with their “virtual” koibito… hmmm sounds familiar, really… anyways, it’s really a must for every otaku to watch that video.

Then, finally, I finished Tsubasa Chronicles series! As usual, it’s still half-baked. In relation to manga, their last quest was in the land of Outo (hmm, speaking of virtual huh) but the anime ended in a desert-like land, where there is a floating temple, and it was foretold that the first one to enter the temple will have his wish granted. Residents attempted to enter the temple which resulted to unexpected deaths. Well, of course our heroes were able to got in. Sakura was the privileged one to make a wish, the others gave way… geez, I thought she’ll ask for the full recovery of her memory since it’s been bothering her, but I was touched (again) that instead she wished for the resurrection of those who died unreasonably for trying to enter the floating temple. I was a bit disappointed, because, damn I’ve been rooting for a faster pace of the story, an alternative (definitel closure) ending would satisfy me, yet, I am happy things turn out that way, because there’ll be 2nd season scheduled anyway, to be aired April next year (whoa, same as XXX Holic?!) according to the fansubbers. Hmmm, I don’t know how reliable this source is, but I’m keeping my hopes up...

By the way, yesterday I watched Chicken Little at Shang Cinema with Mike. It was really cute and funny, I rarely get interested with Disney animation since I got hooked to anime, but Chicken Little’s character design is so cute, it’s so hard to resist hehehe. He reminds me of Momonja, and other Mojacko chara, now that explains it hehehe… Also, RK story figures (series 2 & 3) are on sale. I was able to buy Soujiro for only 225 at Toy Kingdom, while I got the Kenji and Enishi for 500! I suppose they’ll be gone by next year… I hope I could still get the other chara…

bad KiD!

Grrr… I’m such a hard-headed KiD! For the last 6 days, my horoscope has been telling not to spend extravagantly, but I’ve been behaving against it. I’m so bad, I swear I’m out of cash already. Just this morning, I bought a laptop backpack. Damn, I just couldn’t wait, but I firmly believe that there is no one who would give me such item on Christmas. Really, most things I procure are always through my own hardship, but really, there’s not justification for me to be a spendthrift! I promise starting today I’ll be very reasonable with my expenses, oh dear heavens pls. don’t punish me. I don’t want to get laden with debts… I don’t want to exhaust my credit card limit. Somebody pls. stop me from spending!!! But it’s so hard, you see it’s already Christmas break (school) and I’ll die out of boredom if I just stay in my room while waiting for my duty in office. I need to get out, I need to see living things and animated objects, but it only provokes me to spend lavishly… and I have to stay away from Starbucks! *sigh* but speaking of Starbucks, i finally got the 2006 Planner! Yep, I've completed the coupon hehehe!!! Also, i got a Starbucks tumbler again! *sigh* i charged it on my credit card... this is bad...

Wednesday, December 14, 2005

It’s part 9:00 in the evening and I’m alone in the office. Next week is the Christmas and break and I’m getting excited already. There are lots of videos lined up for me to watch. Tsubasa Chronicles is a top priority. I’m already at episode 19 and I’m really enjoying the series, but not as much as the I did with the manga. Well I’ll try not to critic, anime versions always have their own appeal and edge. I'm still yearning for their CCS character… the bratty Shaoran and Genki Sakura… well have to be reminded that it is not CCS! And the voice dear lord the voice… *sigh* anyways, I’m so happy I finally got a copy of Otaku No Video! Yay, I haven’t scanned the video but I’m already getting excited to watch it hehehe.

Con updates, I’m not sure anymore if I could still come to Otaku Zine Fest. Definitely I’m not cosplaying, I lost motivation because of my uncontrollable gaining of weight *sigh* I can’t afford to dress up as Subaru when my weight is 114 lbs! Shame on you kid! What excites me is my former school’s alumni homecoming on the same date as the Otaku Zine Fest (Dec. 18), I was looking forward to see my batchmates, I’m just worried that there’s a big chance that many are not coming… it’s so hard to motivate busy people to come to such events… I’m busy too, but I’m really eager to see them… I just want to relive those days when I’m still a college student. Hey, I’m still a college student! Hehehe, kidding aside, I miss my college friends, my classmates...

My father’s still having second thought if he’ll lend me money to buy a laptop. He’s really worried since it entails a big amount of money, of course I’d be carrying it every now and then outdoor, he’s thinking of the possibility that I might be held up or I might loose it… things like that, but I’m very positive about it. I know how the world works today but it’s time that I decide for myself and I feel I’ll never move on with my life if I’ll always be afraid to take risks. Besides, worst case scenario – I lost it *knocks on the wood* I will still pay for it (with grievance hehehe). I think I should be mature enough (on my discretion) to decide for myself… I need it badly, damn, I’m really outdated! If I wouldn’t come home in province, I wouldn’t be able to get in touch with my world (anime) Like last Saturday, I finally saw “Howl’s Moving castle”, again, I was moved by the film, no matter how I put it, Hayao Miyazaki is a god hehehe… The film took me from one dimension to another (again). It’s been a while that I giggle on a movie, but Howl and Sophie were really cute I couldn’t help feeling mushy hehehe. It’s very rare for a Miyazaki film to have a bishie character… Now Howl is included on my list of my babies hehehe. He’s sooo cool, the scene where he lifts Sophie off the ground while being chased by black spirits (?) elates me. It was as if I was lifted off the ground to hahaha… And he moves very swiftly, reminds me of Kenshin… He’s movement also reminds me of Haku (Spirited Away) I want to watch it again and again, if only I have the time and means (damn, that’s why I want a laptop), I would… I’m craving for Howl hahaha. Not to mention that Takuya Kimura voiced Howl *shrugs* How cool huh!

An alarming news, last Friday we had a body fat analysis here in the office. My body fat is already in the upper borderline of normal and my weight reached 52 kg!!! This is really bad. I have to start an intervention to keep this down =’(… I must cut down my food consumption! Darn!!! It’s something so hard to do when you’re stressed… and depressed =’( look at my pics… I really gained weight huhuhu!
